Sydney Road Family Medical Practice

I'm so glad I wasn't the only one to have found Dr Helen completely lacking in professionalism care and empathy. She was dismissive, rude and lacked diligence. I will not be returning and suggest others avoid her. There are other very good doctors at Sydney Road Medical Practice. It is a shame she isn't one of them.She barely glanced at me, wrote a script for Eczema (without asking about it, or even attempting to look) and charged 70 dollars. It took less than 7 minutes.

We have been taking our 18 months old daughter to see Dr Walder since she was born and he is a wonderful doctor. As first time parents we have asked many silly questions but Dr Walder has always been very patient and caring.

Great family practice. Always willing to fit my little Bub in at the last minute. Every doctor has been great. Thorough but reassuring. Highly recommend.

My family visits here for all GP needs. Professional and caring doctors are punctual but their consultation is thorough and you are not rushed. Doctors are up to date with latest medical developments and referrals to specialists are well researched and thought through. The on-line booking is very useful, the fees are very reasonable and Medicare claims are processed immediately by the efficient and courteous reception staff. The practice is located near parking (Stockland) but I always find parking on Sydney Road anyway. Also, it is located a few steps from a pharmacy, a couple of doors from a bulk-billing X-Ray practice and across the road from a Pathology practice. If you are fed up with the prospect of spending the rest of your natural life waiting at a bulk billing medical centre to see a doctor who does not do a good job anyway, then forget that and give this practice a go. It is excellent.

I have only had positive experiences here. Great service, easy to book using HotDoc. The doctors have been generally excellent, very helpful and often follow up with phone calls.

Since our medical practice at Seaforth closed, we were fortunate enough to have the Sydney road family medical practice where the staff made us feel right at home, every one there greets you with a smile, and if the medical staff are not happy about the progress they are able to consult with a fellow doctor, the nursing girls are there on the spot to attend to any wounds ,We are very happy with the service from the nurses, the 3 receptionists. Responsive and friendly and efficient.The practice is not too big and not too small so there is a sweet spot which defines this practice.I’m talking as a doctor and as a patient and have experienced large corporate style impersonal practices
