My experience was fraught issues. My advice if having any type of manufactured wood or vinyl products laid is to have an installer advise on the condition of your floor and if any additional preparation is needed before signing the contract. This could be grinding concrete or putting down a self levelling compound to ensure an even finish. Ensure you have done your research first on the types of flooring available and thickness of the products as they are displayed on boards in the show rooms. Ask the installer about different underlay products. If matching to existing floor ask for a sample to ensure it works. Once you sign that contract you are not getting out of it easily even if it was made on the recommendation of their staff and then you will be dealing with senior management hell bent on retaining the sale. One of the most stressful experiences in my many home renovation projects. The only good part of the job was the floor laying by James and his team at Manning Corp.
