The Gathering Cafe Bungendore
Dark and a cold breeze running through the cafe, possibly from a back door. Went back to the car to get an extra item of clothing. Poached eggs were firm, not a fan. Meal was quite dry so had to line up again to ask for sauce/relish. Coffee was under temperature and lacked presentation. I think the whole place would work better as table service as there were plenty of staff often approaching us with no idea of what we were waiting on, asking if I was still drinking my coffee when eating and cup was half full for example

I stopped by this place on the way to the Coast for coffees and loved the cozzy and comfy atmosphere a lot. But I was a little bit disappointed after having breaky there because all of the breakfast we had were way overpriced. I ordered French toast with croissants, which is $22, and served 1 or 2 pcs croissant(might be used left over) and a few pcs of bacons. And my friend ordered Avo with sourdough around $22 but was cold and just a small amount of slaw. Maybe it would be better to have a coffee only.

Pros:1. Food was good especially Quesadilla.2. Cookies and Crossiant were good3. Quick service4. Parking easyCons:1. You have to order at counter for dining. That should be ok but you have to wait for long queue especially weekends. One person only took order.2. They burnt out the bread and provided a replacement. Also, they offered a free coffee which was good gesture of them but we didn't take it.3. Slightly expensive and for that price low quantity especially big breakki.

Wanted a quick lunch and stopped by this highly rated cafe. Unfortunately due to the holiday season, only a limited selection from the breakfast menu was on offer and they didn’t have fresh juice. Apparently only one chef was on duty so the food came out over 30 minutes. The simple breakkie burger was nice and for the eggs on toast, they were flexible with the swoping the bacon for avocado. It’s a nice cozy place with a children friendly play corner too.

The breakfast/brunch menu here is very good, and there is a good variety. The corn fritters are apparently very popular so have to get in early otherwise they will run out. We certainly missed out on this occasion and ordered Classic Avocado and Chef's Breakfast instead. I would question the addition of bean sprouts into the salad as that isn't typical, however being Vietnanese and having been used to the taste of bean sprouts, it wasn't such a big deal. Yours truly @fooderarri.

How good is this gorgeous little cafe. Cosy warm with a lovely fire to welcome you. Very friendly and helpful service. Spacious seating inside and out. Excellent coffee and tasty Portuguese tart. Heaven!

Wonderful location for a stop over to Braidwood, or a quick coffee refresher heading on down to the coast.But don't forget, when you are heading back home, that The Gathering Cafe awaits you for your return.I had literally engulfed this Portuguese Tart, and washed it down with a delectable cappuccino.Do say hello to the friendly staff to brighten their day!!
