Worth every cent. Bought fresh fish from here. There is a good variety, about 25 species I was told. I love the specials, particularly mouth-watering kina. The cooked fish is tasty and the prawns quite meaty. Cooked taro in coconut milk is a staple favourite. Keep adding new items to the menu, they're awesome!

In my opinion, in this area, St Marys fish market is a great seafood takeaway shop. I get fish and chips from the shop and they’re all good and crispy. I mostly enjoyed the calamari rings, salads and also the grilled salmon, grilled prawns and onion rings. The service was fine, and the spring rolls were also really good. My family buys fresh seafood from them, no problems at all. :)

I have been buying my fresh fish from this place for years now. Great quality and good variety of seafood. Nominal price tag. Friendly staff. The fish cleaning and cutting service is a life-saver as I ask for thin cutlets of most fish I buy. I have bought tuna, salmon, kingfish, pomfret, mackerel, black fish, tilapia, whiting, sardines, prawns, squid, oysters etc. Their fish and chips is the best you can get in St Marys. I have tried 4 other local fish and chips shops where the fish tasted like water. The fish we get here tastes the way it should, like cooked fresh fish, soft and flaky. I love their calamari rings, generous portions and taste fresh. My kids love their grilled salmon, prawns and octopus along with their leafy salad. They also go for spring rolls and crab claw. I like that there is variety in hot chips as well, sweet potato chips/kumara which again the kids adore. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my fresh fish and my fish & chips family basket. ♡✿

The fish was off and gave my boyfriend food poisoning. Will not be ordering from here again.

Really good fish and chips, very close second to ones I’ve tried on the Gold Coast and Surry Hills - for a local suburban fish and chips shop, this would be my recommendation, you won’t find a better cooked battered fish in St Marys. The fish used for the regular battered fish&chips was tender/soft and flaky - it could be a Basa or similar species. The batter was light and crispy enough. The fish was fresh, saw them battering it before frying. The chips were well cooked and crispy.Fish cocktails and potato scallops were good, same as any other fish and chip shop really. I prefer the battered fish though over the fish cocktails. The shop is small and they do sell fresh seafood as it’s also a seafood marketshop. If you visit in store - once you order, you receive a printed receipt with your order number, once your order is done, they call it out, a very easy/simple ordering process. They accept Visa and MasterCard/Eftpos however there is a $5 minimum, better than other shops with a $10 or $15 minimum but not great that there is a minimum purchase amount. Was thinking about getting a can of coke for $1.50 after I had already ordered but saw the $5 minimum sign so put it back.Prices on UberEats at the time of this review were pretty much the same as in store, so kudos to them for not price gouging like nearly every other shop on UberEats. While I was waiting for my order in store, I saw that they received many orders via Menulog/UberEats.
