We had a scheduled appointment in store today and then an in home measure and quote this evening. When I spoke to the lady on the phone I was clear I needed a quote to provide to the bank as we need it for the mortgage top up.When I arrived in store I was told I “won’t like these kitchens then” as they do not provide quotes unless a 10% was paid. He also mentioned that he would have to check if the person was coming out tonight as previously booked. And he went to ring someone and came back with no idea if anyone was going to come out anyway. Why book if it’s not actually booked in? I worked my entire day around these appointments.And I don’t understand why you cannot provide a quote that states “kitchen quotes for complete reno” total $Xxxx - full quote details will be provided once 10% deposit paid.Atleast I would have something to provide my bank.It’s not good enough to just be told “we hope you like us enough to pay a deposit”If you want my money, how about work for it and provide me a quote so I can get the extra funds I need to complete the job.That would be a great experience then and would be worth the money.My experience today I walked out.I didn’t even feel welcome to look around the shop.

Brilliant! From our first experience at the North Lakes showroom, we were impressed by the customer service and product knowledge. We went in pretty well researched as we had been planning a kitchen & laundry reno for a long while, so we knew basically what we wanted and how we wanted it to look.The sales team spent time showing us all of the options, sharing advice and helping us refine our preferences, then arranged to have a designer come by to quote on our reno THAT AFTERNOON! We were really impressed at the speed of service and our designer Damien was a great bloke.We were a good 5 months out from the final check measure and installation, which gave us time to order our appliances and make some small tweaks to the plan (we found our own handles and swapped them out etc). Nothing was too much trouble and communication was good throughout.The only issue of note was a loose plumbing fitting that resulted in a minor leak under our island sink. When reported it was dealt with quickly and with minimal fuss. We were happy with the outcome and LOVE our new kitchen! ❤️

Our Stunning new kitchen is now completed. To say we are happy with the end result would be an understatement, very functional and timeless in its design and finish.The team were very responsive from the planning stage right through to the installation. I would like to give a special mention to the installer Daniel Jackson - he did an amazing job, using his years of experience to the utmost. TDM glass who installed the glass splashback also did an amazing job and the price was great.My only criticism is, if I was to get another Kitchen install, I would source out my own Sparky and Plumber as I found their prices somewhat high, though they did a good job.

Overall I am happy with my kitchen. But the journey to get there is a different story.Customer service in the shop front was great.Designer was ok, but I would highly recommend that you make sure the design is functional (do you have enough usable storage/ workspace/ room to wash up etc). My designer tried to tell me that 40cm space is a large space to stacked dirty dishes/cooking pots etc. Also make sure that you read the fine print and any changes or variations are on your contract.Designer requires training on what changes you can make during the design process (lower kickboards, upper cupboards to ceiling, number of shelves that are included).Communication needs improvement, I booked my check measure months in advance as I was going to be interstate for work, Closer to the date, I get a call saying that I cannot have the check measure on the arranged date. The customer service person was very arrogant and forceful trying to tell me that I have to change date. I had tell her a few times (as she wouldn't listen) that I wasn't going to be in the state the day she wanted to change too and I had booked my flights back to QLD to suit the pre arranged date. After a few stressful hours she finally saw sense and left the check measure for the original date.Another example of the poor customer service, I was trying to get updates on when my replacement oven parts arriving (3 emails two weeks apart went unanswered, though I did receive the answer when the parts where left at my Front door, lucky enough I was home early that day).There were other issues, but I am not going to list them all.I wouldn't recommend using Kitchen Connections, as the excitement for a new kitchen was taken away by arrogant staff members, lack of communication and people not knowing there job.

Avoid this company like the plague. Kitchen is still yet to be finished after remeasuring for a third time. Kitchen bench has ugly join at the sink which were never informed about and we are now seeking legal avenues to get the job completed properly. They do not do anything once they have your money. You have to liaise with all trades yourself as the foreman is never reachable. Do not waste your hard earned money on this company. You will be sadly disappointed!

Very poor service! Went to the hone show, booked in for free measure and quote. Gut turned up refused to do anything unless my husband agreed to place a deposit then and there. He left and left his computer at my home. I put in a complaint where the manager called to apologise and said he would do the measure and quote and came to pick the computer bag up. Still waiting for the free measure and quote! Not happy at all. Highly recommend not using this company.

This review is certainly not a reflection of the amazing work our Tradies did – they were great. This is purely for Kitchen Connection North Lakes and their “Customer Support Manager”. The one star is for the showroom staff and the initial designer because their service was good - it all went downhill once we paid our money and were allocated our “Customer Support Manager”. How the words customer and support are even in this title astounds me. After the initial visit which is a final check and measure you are told to allow 90 minutes, we allowed 2 hours…. 3.5 hours later I was told “it can take longer”! I asked at the end of the meeting, what the changes were to the final cost based on the changes made and I was told nothing at all, then when the final quote came through it was $2k over the original and when I questioned it the response was no you misunderstood, the changes were to the Trade costs not the other costs!! From that point, we were sent a schedule and advised that it is up to us to liaise with the trades, make sure we are home and negotiate any changes to times, that’s not the Customer Support Managers job! When one of our appliances didn’t get delivered, we were told, yeah they are out of stock, you can just source your own and we will reimburse you for that! Then it was up to us to arrange with the Carpenter for him to make another trip back to install the delayed appliance. No phone follow up from the Customer Support Manager, no check in after the work was completed, nothing to see if we were satisfied or if we needed any other work done. I really have no idea what this person gets paid to do, there is no customer service and there is certainly no support, the project itself gets managed by the client and the trades people so they are essentially paying someone to do not much.

Not really helpful on the phone. I asked if I could get a free quote. And then I'm told ,not by them, that you need a deposit before they come to your home ??? That's not a free quote. I need someone to give me ideas, I'm not a designer or a builder. Felt frustrated at end of call. The woman doesn't have a very nice phone manner at all. Going to IKEA instead.

As per other posts, it is buyer beware. Some ethical questions around using a sales model focused on conditioning / pressuring you into signing asap. Its all about getting you signed up and locked in make no mistake. Dont be fooled by wild discounts that are running out etc etc, those time sensitive deals" are designed to make you feel as though you are going to miss out and are a great tool in a sales pitch anywhere.Initial onsite consult / measure up has a primary goal to achieve which is = *GETTING YOU SIGNING A CONTRACT* its as simple as that. After signing you will be LOCKED IN with them and essentially LOCKED OUT of any other provider option without the threat of losing money in the thousands (read cancellation fees designed to deter you from straying) as you will be breaking that "you beaut" contract you just signed the other day. We were actually really impressed with the product
