Parrot Life Behaviour and Training

I cannot recommend parrot life enough! Lee and Jasmine are so knowledgeable and caring. They showed me such kindness with my spirited little fellow. They both stayed long after my appointment time was over sharing with me tips and tricks. I have taken my parrot to other training places and been made to feel as though everything I had been doing was wrong and been given things that seemed unachievable. Lee and Jasmine gave me small tangible step by step tips that were not overwhelming and because of that I’ve seen some great success. After my appointment Lee sent me a plethora of information to call upon and Jasmine has checked in with me multiple times - she has made herself available to me to answer questions and concerns and always does so with patience and care. I’m so so grateful for Jasmine! These ladies love birds, and show such compassion for both the humans and birds they work with. I can’t thank you ladies enough! Made an appointment with Jasmine, the Melbourne consultant. She was extremely rude, condescending and disrespectful. Called me at 9:39pm to confirm appointment for the next day. I was at a birthday party at this time and messaged her that I would call her back in 10 minutes, and when I did she didn’t answer her phone. She replied with a message that it’s well past her business hours and that she was cancelling the training appointment, after we had fully paid. She was rude, arrogant and I would definitely not recommend this person to train anyone’s parrot. A much nicer trainer in Burwood if you want your parrot trained by a decent human being, and much much cheaper than parrot life!The response from parrot life below is completely false, I did not call anyone stupid, and if Jasmine accepted my phone call it would have been explained and resolved there and then. Jasmine rudely refused to take my call. Because it is ok for her to call someone 9:39pm and when I called her back after explaining I was at a bday party at 9:53pm she refused to accept my call and proceeded to cancel. Sorry, is your company too good to accept phone calls 14 mins later after a very polite message explaining where I was? Jasmine is a complete liar, rude disrespectful person. And no Jasmine did not email me at 9am. If she accepted my phone call it would have been explained and resolved! Simple! Just teach your staff that’s representing your company to have manners. Condescending text messages are not polite!And it’s funny as soon as I write this review, suddenly other 5 star reviews are added. I’m only writing of my experience because you have refused to accept that the way this was handled was completely inappropriate.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Parrot Life Behaviour & Training to help train our aggressive cockatoo, Wilbur. From start to finish, the team at this company was incredibly professional, helpful and knowledgeable when it came to properly caring for our beloved bird. Our trainer, Lee, helped us understand that there was no need to resort to the drastic measures we’d read about in order to get Wilbur under control. Instead, she used creative techniques and patient coaching that allowed us to build a better relationship with him. The result was nothing short of miraculous – Wilbur is now a well-behaved, affectionate and well loved member of our family! We highly recommend Parrot Life for anyone looking for an experienced and reliable team of professionals with the skill set needed to work with any type of bird.

Our first consultation for any of our parrots was with a Perth consultant during the company’s beginnings.My recently rescued bird (at the time) was extremely aggressive and unsettled. We were her [at least] third home and she had sent 2 members of her previous family to the hospital for facial stitches. She would scream all day, growl and lunge at the bars of her cage as you walked past and if let out she would fly straight for your face. If she didn’t get your face she would try land on your shoulders, head, back with the sole purpose of biting. Hands, feet, she didn’t care; she’d grab on for dear life and growl. She would chase you. And the SCREAMING. It was a difficult few weeks before we reached out and got an appointment with parrot life.OVERNIGHT the screaming stopped with a few small changes and with work she stopped going out of her way to attack people. 5/6 years on and I can go into her aviary and so long as I respect her boundaries, she is very easy to live with. She is my most well-trained bird when it comes to getting her to walk into a crate (incase of emergency or vet trips etc) and I can thank Parrot Life Behaviour and Training for getting that started for us.Never can I recommended them enough and I always will.Thank you. You gave this bird a life free of the fear and anxiety she had always known and stability in our home.

As an avian vet I 100% recommend the team at Parrot Life for patients who have behavioural issues or those just wanting to enhance the bond with their feathered family members in a fun and engaging way.

Incredible service and resources!I want to thank Parrot Life Behaviour and Training for their amazing service and training techniques. I participated in a workshop and was able to transfer these skills to training with not only my own IRN but also with several of my clients birds too! All staff were polite and communication on venue and resources outstanding! 10/10 would recommend.

The trainers at Parrot Life are so amazingly kind and helpful. Their behavioral knowledge and training techniques can not be match in this country. I had such a fantastic experience with them and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for knowledge or assistance with their parrots.
