There's nothing else I would ask for in such a gorgeous Air BNB. It's perfectly situated amongst the mountains, just down the road from tourist attractions and it has everything you could even need stocked inside. Large fenced yard for the doggos, a Labradork and a Bull Arab, very secure. Clean, tidy and a great place to spend 3 days.

After having to postpone my trip here last year due to the lockdown I finally got to spend four nights here. The rustic Pether Cottage was a great base to enjoy some walking and mountain bike riding in the Kosciuszko National Park which is on the doorstep of beautiful Talbingo.The property was clean, comfortable and well equipped. David and Hilary provided great communication and it's certainly a place I would come back to and stay again.

Pether Cottage is located in a nice quiet street only walking distance from the Talbingo township. Talbingo is ideally located close to blowering dam and the snowy mountains. The accommodation serves its purpose well in that it provides everything you would need practically. The place is in some fairly desperate need of some TLC and there was mould growing in the kitchen and bathroom however. It would suit a large group of snow skiers or people wanting to boat in blowering but not if you want something fancy. Unfortunately, we had to provide a low rating for this accommodation as it was not pet friendly at all! David had told me prior to booking that the fences around the property were belly button high. When we arrived there was a large section of fence that was mid thigh height. Our dog, who has no habit of jumping fences, found this to be an easy hop and escaped 3 times. Instead of relaxing on the holiday, we were left feeling stressed and trying to hustle to find a suitable way to contain our dog during our stay. There was also a large grapevine growing along the fence. Any dog owner would know that grapes are poisonous to dogs and this added another stress. Hilary and David own 6 other properties so I am surprised that they lack the experience to know what 'pet friendly' accommodation entails.

We were looking for a place to relax and feel at home. Pether Cottage was just the place for us. It reminded me of staying in a friend's house in Broken Hill. The surrounding countryside is amazing - certainly a lesser known part of the snowies.

Lovely cozy stay. It's like your first ever home with second hand furniture, no cares in the world, just loving life. Great location for day trips around North Kosciuszko then a warm shower and movie night. We didn't cook in the kitchen as the Country Club is just down the road and great food and drinks.Communication was excellent with sms from Aussie Chillout. It's not luxurious 5 stars, but 5 stars for everything we needed, warm, comfortable, location and price

Very old bad paint scheme, partially renovated house. Charge a fortune for basic accommodation. Place needs to be demolished and rebuilt, surely they can afford for the rates they charged. Rug, mattresses were smelly, very thin old towels. I had to clean the a/c and dryer vents. Dead flies everywhere . Leak stain from ceiling in corridor and spider webs in closets. At least the appliances worked!

We loved David’s cottage! The location in perfect and the cottage has everything you need. Heaters are working very well and also have a travel pram/ cot for my baby. The yard is amazing, our dog Bruno loved to spent time there.

Absolute Filth- very dissapointed with the grubby state of the house and overgrown gardens and lawns for the price we paid to stay there.The smell inside was comparable to a dog kennel and there was mould and dust everywhere.Would not recommend this place for kids or asthmatics.The smell and state of the cottage was unbearable we cut our holiday short.Very disappointed with our stay in an otherwise beautiful and peaceful place on the map.
