Whilst the waitress and the food was great, the overall experience left a bit of a bad taste. On arrival 30 mins early ( trying to beat holiday traffic and rain) we were summarily told to come back at half past" when there were plenty of tables out the front ( or actually ready inside) that we could have been pointed towards. Furthermore one of our party was ill yet we were charged $50 for their non attendance. Within the restaurant terms but still felt a bit wrong. Overall the customer experience was a bit lacking

Very ordinary food for the price. The customer service was also very poor. We ordered hot chocolates at the end of our meal - they were barely warm and barely tasted of chocolate. There was no apology or even acknowledgement from the staff when we politely let them know. At a minimum, I would have expected this to be removed from the bill. $20 for 4 awful hot chocolates. That was our first experience. We decided to give them a second chance when they moved to their temporary location by the beach. We asked to sit outside as we had our dog with us, and were told that dogs weren’t allowed on the patio. Fair enough, but when we asked why the table next to us were allowed to sit with their two (large) dogs, we were told that they just ignored the direction, yet still would not allow our dog (small cavoodle). The rule I don’t mind, it was the double standard and the attitude that were unacceptable. We walked away and won’t be returning.

We went for dinner last Saturday night and had the seafood plater. Overall it was a good experience with the bugs cooked to perfection. The Prawns were unfortunately overcooked. However the staff were fantastic and attentive.

First visit, under new ownershipExcellent in every respect, very meticulous in the little things. Staff were very attentive. The food was excellent, we had the cheese plater for entree and the chef's seafood platter for main. Both meet the standard set by the owners no desert, we were full. As locals we will certainly be going back, highly recomended for groups and couples a great atmosphere enjoyed by young and old.

Ducked in for a light lunch. Beautifully appointed, great location and awesome staff. We will be back for more of this great little spot overlooking One mile at Forster .

After a recommendation from a local we headed to Isola for a treat night/date night. Great location on the water with indoor and outdoor seating. Relaxed staff add to the easy dining and steady stream of plates implied we may have got carried away with ordering. Excellent food with the beef and butterflied prawns as highlights.

Dined at Isola for my partners 30th birthday and it was a beautiful experience. From the time we arrived the gentleman who sat us throughout the night was friendly and attentive. It was also interesting to hear about the history of the restaurant as a converted boat shed. The location is peaceful and has a gorgeous river outlook, we were sat outside and were able to sit inside later in the night for dessert and drinks when the temperature dropped. The food was delicious and we were able to organise dessert and drinks for the birthday celebration.Would dine here again and highly recommend. It was warm, friendly and inviting.

Modern Australian/ Italian. Delicious seafood, prepared beautifully and staff passionate about what they do. Lovely wines from Australia and Italy, all available by the glass which was great and something not a lot of restaurants do. The setting is romantic, relaxing and stylish. If you're able to get a sitting on the deck on the edge of the water it makes the dining experience that much more special. Will definitely be going back again.

Amazing restaurant in an amazing location. Right on the waterfront of beautiful Wallis Lake. Small menu with a variety of seafood options to chose from. Great selection of cocktails. Worth visiting just for the location alone. One of the most beautiful places I've ever dined at in Australia.

Highly recommend anyone visiting Forster dine at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the ambiance was lovely and the service was impeccable. The owner went above and beyond to ensure there were gluten free options and surprised us with cannolis (which I cannoli say we’re better then my nonnas) for my brothers bday. Can’t wait to come back.
