Barney's Bar & Bistro
Absolutely scenic and stunning restaurant. It was the perfect temperature. Cloudless, but not extremely hot. There were many kangaroos on the property, along with corellas, a shrike-thrush, and a pair of swallows. I didn’t really like the food, all I ate was chips, but I only went here with my dad on our last day in Halls Gap to enjoy the atmosphere. Drinks were nice.

They do the rustic charm very well, great atmosphere and couldn't fault the food. Friendly staff, we enjoyed it. The house charcoal Shiraz is a show stopper, underpriced.

Everything was yummy, delicious...from pumpkin soup, chicken parma, scotch fillet, sticky date pudding. Service was excellent too,and lovely atmosphere just a perfect place to relax and enjoy the feast.

Absolutely amazing bistro, great food great staff. the owners clearly take care of the bistro, the staff and the customers. We come here for dinner whenever we visit the Grampians. I would give 10 stars if I could. Keep up the great work we will be back again.

Ordered the Kangaroo with mushroom sauce, first time having kangaroo so wasn't sure what to except. It was very nice, tasted great and chips were crispy. The chicken Parma's look very appetizing too. Great atmosphere to sit outside and enjoy the views.

One of, if not the best Surf and Turf's I've had in a long time. I asked if it could be cooked as medium but ensure no blood. It was as tender as it possible could have been, yet no blood present. The sauce was just perfect and the chips were nice and crispy. We came in with 2 families of 4 adults and 3 children and no one of us had any complaints. FULL COMPLIMENTS to the chef and the manager for having an awesome attitude. It made a great start to our weekend away in the Grampians.

This is easily one of the best pubs I've been too. Looks great from the outside and once you step inside - wow. A really cool and unique atmosphere. Food was good, big portions, really friendly and hospitable staff. You could also see kangaroos out the back. This is a must try! Thank you!
