Only shop in town apart from caravan park where all items come with an extra cost. Small shop but they pack plenty on there. Many camping nick nacks if you leave something behind but bviously limited due to space, plenty of souvineers stickers and stuff for Poona andany handcrafted souvineers. You can order a few different brekkys along with a barista coffee,and dine on the veranda with a view of the Poona waterfront. Friendly staff

Great little cafe with lovely old fashioned home made food. I guess they supply most things to the local community including a friendly face that's happy to chat. Food was great value if your in Poona and the deck area was comfortable to eat in. I only regret not buying home made cake.

This little cafe is a treasure. Beautiful home made food. The steak sandwich was one of the best I’ve had anywhere. Lovely friendly service. All sorts of home made products for sale. Prices are reasonable and veranda is pet friendly. Highly recommended.

Went in for a coffee, ordered caramel latte, tasted like a hot caramel milkshake definitely had very little coffee maybe a half shot. Also ordered a fisherman's basket with everything battered. Food comes out it's all crumbed I said to the lady oh sorry we ordered battered" she then tells us they don't do batter it comes like this crumbed whilst putting her finger almost on the food...... Feel like we should have been told that when we ordered as we wouldn't have ordered neither of us like crumbed seafood.There were some mini pineapple fritter/dried apple looking things on the plate with a piece of fish my partner (who will eat almost anything just to be polite) couldn't even eat. Prawn cutlet and sea scollop which were passable but for the $25 price tag for a fisherman basket for one

Great food and fun atmosphere. The two ladies who run this place are gems. Thanks for the lovely fisherman's basket and crunchy chips. Mmmm.

The owner and staff are new to this place and have recently started up the business.They are very friendly and helpful.The breakfast was delightful as was their coffee.If it is not on the menu ask as they will try to accommodate your needs.It is good that that this place is up and running again as Poona was without a good coffee shop / sit down place to have nice meals for near on a couple of years.Prices are fair and reasonable.The lady owner works very long hours so please drop in ,say hi and give her your support.Please note that I have no vested interest in this place. Just a local with my own business supporting another business and giving them some support and a fair go in these tough times for small businesses.Good luck to Poona Bay & General StoreI wish them all the luck and success for the future.

I have been here a few times now, and the service is always friendly. Great home cooked style meals like your Mum used to make and yummy cakes and slices. A big plus being open 7 days a week in such a small town...
