Updated review: Bicton vet is under new management since my review below. At first I was apprehensive as I wasn’t sure how things would change as Dr Shelley gave such personable care however, rest assured, the new team are great. Especially Dr. Kay of course; such a genuine and knowledgeable vet and also Charlie the vet nurse is so kind and caring too. We have moved away from Bicton but continue to drive a longer distance to Bicton Vet.Dr. Shelley is a great veterinarian. I have had quite a few health issues with my dog and she always gives sound advice. Separately, my dog ate a packet of M&M's late on a Friday evening. I called in a panic and Dr Shelley told me to meet her at the practice in 10 minutes (this was after 9pm) just for us, to treat her. I expected it would cost a lot but she didn't charge me unreasonably at all. I couldn't express my appreciation enough.

Dr Shelley is amazing! She always goes above and beyond, my dog was extremely ill over Easter and she met me many times at the surgery after hours and on public holidays. Great local vet.

If it were possible to give more than 5 stars, I would. I've been a client of the clinic since 2019, and have consistently received amazing service. The staff are polite and friendly, very professional, and have a great wealth of knowledge. They are also willing to go above and beyond for their patients; squeezing in that last minute appointment, giving advice over the phone, ordering medication for same day collection, and more.I recently visited with my 13 year old dog on a stinking hot day. He had chosen to sit outside and wasn't really keen to move much, so we completed our consult outside. Of course with the heat, my dog was panting, but Dr Marta picked up that his gums were slightly pale and wanted to do some additional tests. Thanks to these few tests and recommendation for some follow up imaging, he has now been on medication for Cushing's Disease for just over a week and I've noticed a massive improvement. If it hadn't been for Dr Marta picking up something so subtle, we might not have known he had this condition until it had become much more advanced.I would also like to thank Dr Robyn for her compassion and transparency with our imaging results; it must be very difficult to explain to a patient that their dog might have a serious and life limiting condition. It also says a lot about the team and their respect for each other that she was so complimentary of Dr Marta's thoroughness in noting the change, and narrowing down the potential cause so quickly.

Wonderful, kind and helpful people. Robyn, Kay and the reception staff have all made me ( a first time pet owner) feel cared for and understood. They have all shown such affection for my pup and shared great information on how best to care for her. Each visit has been a positive one. Thank you!

Bicton Vet Clinic is amazing! Kay went above and beyond today to find an out of stock prescription diet for our very sick fur baby Foxy. It is so nice to find a genuinely kind and caring person. Foxy and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Rebecca x

Dr Kay and all the staff at Bicton Veterinary Clinic are the kindest and most delightful people you could ever wish to meet. Dr Kay not only is so attentive and caring towards my beautiful sometimes sassy little cat but has given me care, kindness and consideration, including picking him up when I could no longer drive thanks to extreme panic attacks and agoraphobia.Not only that but when I was in hospital and very ill, my cat boarded with Dr Kay who allowed me to see my beloved boy on New Year's Day, I'm pretty sure Dr Kay did that specially for me because how much I missed him and longed to see him. He is in care with Dr Kay at the moment and he is like my own child - I wouldn't leave him with anyone else and know he is in the best of hands.Anyone attacking this wonderful team of people including Dr Kay, you disgust and sicken me completely, that you would do this because it feeds your narcissistic need for attention and you caused suffering to the most amazing people based purely on ignorance and your desire for attention. I very much wish I'd been there to give you the dressing down you so badly need, clearly. I do hope one day your behaviour rewards you as you justly deserve.In the meantime nothing but love to you Dr Kay and everyone at Bicton Veterinary Clinic - you are all absolutely amazing, with the best hearts and always treat your patients with the best of care, including the patients that are their owners! I'll miss you when I move overseas finally - how will I ever find another vet that will ever live up to the standard you have set.

We had to say Goodbye to our beautiful 14 year old Golden Retriever on Wednesday 25th July 2018. Dr Shelley Wilson visited our home and attended to the procedure of sending our beloved pet to a better place.Dr Shelley was caring, gentle, and compassionate. This helped to make the very sad and stressful goodbye a little easier to bear for my wife and I.

Fantastic vet clinic owned and operated by a local family. We have been seeing Dr Kay since my two year old border collie was 10 weeks old. It is a pleasure it have such a fantastic and caring vet so close by! Couldn’t recommend this practice more highly.

For years we have been clients of Dr Kay & we will follow her wherever she goes, regardless of location! Dr Kay is the most caring, kind, knowledgable and most importantly, patient (with my thousands of questions) vet I've met and she has been amazing with both mine & my parents' fur babies!
