Hamelin Pool Caravan Park & Cafe

If it were possible to give a rating of zero stars, I certainly would. During our return trip to Perth, we made the error of booking a so-called deluxe cabin at the caravan park, only to encounter a rude and arrogant manager. Regrettably, we did not read any reviews prior to our arrival and ended up leaving the premises immediately after checking in for a two-night stay. The conditions were akin to those of third-world accommodations, and I refused to subject my family to such an environment. Furthermore, the rain caused water to seep through the power points, resulting in repeated power outages.

We stayed in a unpowered site, no water.A bit run down but quirky and friendly. Damaged by cyclone 2 years ago certainly an interesting place to stay or visit.Lady owner and her son run the whole place by themselves. We ordered sandwiches for our day trip to Steep Point. Coffee and scones good too! Yes needs more TLC but lovely green grass, birdlife, historic building and shell quarry.

Shop selling, bitsnpieces, food was ordered and cooked on the spot and very tasty, so much better than stopping at one of the roadhouses.

Cafe was delightful, proprietor made a killer few burgers that were exceptionally tasty and the prices were great.Would happily stop here again for lunch if I were visiting Hamelin Pool

Stayed in a queen motel room here last night and was ready to leave and continue driving after 5 minutes. Bedding was badly stained. Cuttlery and crockery was dirty and towels were musty to the point of being unusable. No tea, coffee , milk or water supplied.

Not worth the money, No Dump point, Bore water so have to take your own, Restricted power, Rude Management, Sites are so small can't have your car parked with your awning out, No rubbish bins so have to take your rubbish with you, Definitely not worth staying there, If not quick in showers water goes cold. Never ever again stay here

Great little caravan park off the beaten track. Has some great ammenities for an older park, and the owners are awesome.Before going make sure you understand that it’s a park ran of generator power, which means you can’t have everything running at once. And the water is non-potable as it’s from a bore, this is due to the location of the actual park, in the middle of nowhere.But if you are used to free camping and being self sufficient with your camping equipment then I would strongly suggest a stop in this caravan park.

Booked here as a stop point back to Perth with my wife and 2 young kids.Get our keys and bottle of water and go to open the door and the inside sealed by cob webs. When we get inside and the room hadn't been looked over in months.Mice droppings on the floorDirt all over the bed.I told the owner we were just going to continue driving and we'd like a refund.The room was untouched and water jug unopened. The exact same state it was given to us.She said we had used the room and that there is no refunds.I told her to go look and tell me if it was suitable for a 2 and 4 year old to stay overnight in.She offered to go clean the room but I said we were leaving regardless and maybe should could take 2 seconds to check the room before guests are arriving.Called her to discuss a few days later but got told she doesn't care.Still yet to receive any refund. Offered to split the difference for her troubles" but it seems the only part of this place getting looked after is the no refunds policy.Save the 140 bucks. Tell your friends"

Positive- cottage, powered and unpowered sites available. Lots of shades, pool, hot shower and toilets clean. Camp kitchen and bbq.It has a period feel the place being the old telegraph and post site.The lady staff is very friendly and helpful. She even thanked us for staying and how often do people say thank you for your stay personally.Pool is such a welcome surprise in the hot and flies galore area.Walking distance to the stromatolites which you can’t access atm due to it being fenced and damaged by the cyclone last year.You can order cooked food as it is also a cafe.There is also a 10$ deposit for the key and u get your money on return of the key.Good for one nighters.Negative-no tv reception, no wifi, you can’t swim in the beach because of the stromatolites and it being fenced off.

Paid $140 for 1 night in a cabin. Cabins outdoor area is shared. The rate is due to the cleanliness. Bed sheets were stained and dirty. Apparently we do not vacuum under the bed. Found lot of dust, a dirty tissue and a toothpick. Toilet and sink were dirty as well with hair and unknown things… no go for the price. For campers why not.
