During summer, so peaceful, quiet, beautiful, serene... We saw emus on both days - in the morning we woke up to a group of three emus nearby!Note: no water, toilet, or anything. Take your rubbish with you.

Winter wonderland. This place was covered in snow up to my knees! Beautiful views of the mountains, great campsite - very close to the car park - no need to hike up a mountain or anything. The photos speak for themselves. Heaven basically.

Good walk through grassy plains and snow gum to top of an escapement with great views either side. Couple of rises to test the lungs. Allow 4-5 hours.

Beautiful camp. No water available. Walk in 200m from the main road at the sign. You won't be disappointed!

Beautiful hut nestled in the snow gum fields of the alpine highlands.Easy stroll from the car park on the Great Alpine Rd, and easy access to facilities close by on Dinner Plain.We took my photography tour group here on a foggy, moody day and we’re lucky to grab some great images.Keep an eye out further out the back on the hut in the plains for Emus. We saw a small gathering of emus on this day.There are plenty of lovely spots to stop en route to this hut with another hut (CB Hut) close by.Enjoy the visit.

Great little campground & hut with big open fireplace. Drop toilet didn't look like it had been emptied in ages (almost full) but at least it was cold so little smell. Lots of open are around the hut for camping. Water tank's tap has been broken off so no water available here.

There is a drop toilet nearby, making it a more convenient area to camp in, or for a day visit. Just 1km out of Dinner Plain and 9km from Mt Hotham resort, it’s a popular camping area for both snow covered winter time and summertime.There is a great piece of High Country history, the JB Hut like many other up hear have stood up to years of Hot summers and winter snow, along with surviving a number of large bush fires.The Hut is nestled in amongst the snow gums alongside the JB Plain Campground, making it a handy day shelter if the weather turns bad.
