We had a fantastic time camping here under the stars and by the water. A lot of camping spots with plenty of space and close enough to the water to leave the boat right next to us. There are two or three boat ramps and campfires are permitted (dependent). The kiosk was handy with some essentials and food and the staff there were incredibly friendly and helpful. The toilets are a little far from the camp spots so you will need to drive but they're in excellent condition. Another hot tip, if you're arriving after hours, make sure you've saved the gate code while you still have internet reception. We got to the gate and realised we didn't have any reception to see the codes!

Remote area on the bank of Lake. Naturally beautiful spacious area. No marked camp sites. Facilities not enough and were not clean during peak Easter holiday period. No garbage disposal area, a truck comes around but not at a specific time each day and campers can dispose of their garbage if around at the time.

A diamond in the rough. Dont let the entrance deter you, the reflections Park kiosk is on the top road and once you cross to the other side of the hill its awesome. So quiet and peaceful only the sound of jumping fish and a family of goats on the rocks opposite. At dusk the kangaroos appear everywhere. Nothing but stars once the sun goes down. Bring a porta potty ( if your not keen to walk back to the clean and tidy amenities) and plenty of supplies and your set. Great experience.

Great camping area. Good amenities that are kept clean. Easy spot to get onto Burrendong dam. Only 30 minutes to Mudgee.Parking at boat ramps slightly messy though.

Brilliant place. 15KM patch, unpaved road to get into but once you are in its all nice, clean and natural. Clean facilities (Toilets, Showers) Massive area so you can select spots accordingly. We were a massive group of 9 families with over a dozen kids of all age groups so we camped near Rotunda as it had great views of the river and mountains on one side, children park with swing and slides right next to it and toilets on a short walk.People are Kiosk and Manager's office are so helpful and courteous. You can buy quite a few basic things from the Kiosk such as Ice or Gas, Icecream, water etc.Just a pro tip, there are mice around the trees or perhaps they live on those trees and they get attracted to food left overs etc so keep your tent secured and food covered.

Recently moved to Mudgee and we love camping and being outdoors on the weekends. This place is an awesome option for us as its only about 30mins from Mudgee and we can arrive before sundown on a Friday night to set up. Dog friendly, plenty of vast open space for unpowered sites down near the waters edge. Hot showers, water tanks to fill up cannisters, BBQs onsite, pathways around the whole area for kids to ride bikes and plenty of walking trails. Friendly service at the reception kiosk - excellent coffee and food if you want to treat yourself to a weekend lunch!!! The lake is a huge bonus as you can swim and boat around the during the day. Come for the day ($10) or stay for the night ($30; unpowered). Definitely recommend for the weekend or to stay for the week on school holidays. Kids will get to see plenty if wildlife; kangaroos and kookaburras everywhere! Beautiful area.
