NEVER AGAIN. Very average food indeed. Nothing fancy or nutritious. Had run out of many things early in the evening. Mostly deep-fried everything. Best thing was the garlic bread. Roast vegetables got cold in no time so I highly suspect they were precooked days before and simply microwaved or quickly re-dipped to reheat or this cooling would not have happened. Not cheap. Thinking food safe temperatures may not be adhered to or oils not changed regularly. In fact I feel they have no idea about bacteria and in particular pathogens. Had the vilest case of food poisoning after eating here that I’ve ever had in my life.

Came for lunch with quite a few friends, ordered and both starters and meal arrived quickly, meal was large and for a decent price. Overall, very happy. Will come back again! No Great Northern on tap though :'(

Reasonable pub fare and huge meals. Great to spend a couple of hours lingering over lunch and enjoying the warm sun coming in through the windows. Appreciate being able to camp overnight in our RV, thanks

Possibly the best pub meal you'll get in Tasmania. Seafood is fresh, chips + veg are excellent, prices are reasonable and serving size is decent, desserts look and taste delicious and kids' meals arrive promptly. There's also a modest amount of information on the 2013 fires, the construction of the canal and history of the local area.

Not so good food although the steak was most satisfying. We ordered the steak, seafood combo (a mistake) and salt and pepper squids (at $15 It's not worth it). I don't like the broccoli to be drenched with the cream corn. Should have driven half hour more to go Coles to grab something there instead.

Wouldn’t recommend, have usually heard good things but was very disappointed. We ordered crumbed fish, battered fish, beef snitzel and the mixed grill, the food wasn’t fresh and the vegetables were over cooked and my beef snitzel tasted like it was off. No one ate all their meals, and not once did a waiter/tress check to see how the meals were, because you have to pay when you order you aren’t given a chance to comment on the meals and the staff were too distracted to bother saying anything when we left. Definitely will not be back.

The Dunalley Hotel is a stunning hotel on the East coast of Tasmania. Located on the tourist route to Port Arthur. A warm welcoming inviting place with very friendly staff. The hotel is clean and inviting, ammenities are well maintained and tidy. Staff are friendly and very happy to help. The food is amazing. Well prepared, seasoned and prompt, everyone at my table raved about their dishes. Prices were reasonable, particularly for the amount of food.

The campground is quit good. You can have a nice view. The toilets in the hotel are clean and the staff is nice. There is a loo for the night when the hotel is close. Did enjoyed my night. I recommend
