TLC Forest Lodge Residential Aged Care

Literally THE WORST PLACE you could possibly place a loved one. Do not do it!!!!! Disgusting treatment of residents.. my poor pa was incontinent and had an accident on the floor and the solution was to drop a towel over the puddle and towel dry his shoes. No mopping, just sleep in a room that stinks of urine. Staff getting frustrated and pushy. Just don’t do it! These people are being reported to the human rights commission.

I recently had my grandfather at this facility who received amazing care. When needing to be reassured of his care, (as I am to much of a worry wart). The manager helped me out by easing my mind and kept the lines of communication open. Unfortunately my grandfather has passed since then but I will say throughout the whole heart breaking process I wouldn't have been able to get through it without the care I received from the staff and loving guidance from the manager. Thank you forest lodge and the staff for all the care you gave my pa.

My mother has been in forest lodge for just over a year, I find the staff that care for her professional caring friendly. Its a tough job, but the carers are amazing. I can't thank them enough.

This facility delivers a lack of care and compassion. My grandmother suffering from late stage pancreatic cancer at the age of 86 died because of the dis-treatment of her. She fell out of bed in her drugged out state and was left on the floor for an unknown amount of time as they will not tell us! (Take not that this could have been hours!!!) This is just one example of the many times they mistreated my grandmother, costing her her life. Not only were they understaffed, the staff (including doctors) did not care for their patients the way in which they should. My grandmother did not die of her cancer. She died of an ammonia that they refused to treat for, as her lugs filled up with mucus. She died in hospital the day she was rushed there in an ambulance due to her horrific state. These people are inhumane and cruel and do not deserve to call themselves carers of any kind. These people are disgraceful....

My family had nothing but trouble with this place when my grandpa was here. He needed a hip replacement after falling because no staff member would walk him to his room late at night when it was dark and he couldn't see where he was going. They gave him double doses of his medications accidentally on numerous occasions. They failed to contact my family after he was admitted to hospital, he was there by himself for nearly 24 hours. I would never recommend this place to anybody. I feel so sad for my grandpa who had to live out his last years and months in this place.

My parents have been residents in this facility for the last two years.We have wittnessed the most amazing treatment of elderly people EVER!!! Dignity, self worth and well being have been preserved in the utmost professional way.It lightens our hearts to see our elderly parents cared for in such a manner.Staff have adhered to the ethos and mission statements publicly displayed by the owners of this great facility.So grateful to all who work there

This place is disgusting, be careful of who has power of attorney i. Your family also, my mother passed away without myself being notified , they new I had been visiting her, there were no problems, when a person passes poa automatically stops, he of course was notified, my mother had severe Demetria so he took advantage of this also, we were both adopted and I dearly loved my dad, my mum I do love also, I never got to say goodbye, her blood family also never attended her funeral, sadly as her son made sure no one was notified this establishment don’t care, I am very deeply upset by this my warning be care full who had this power over your parents this person new he was in the drivers seat controlling these people I am disgusted Icannot fault the PCs there did a great job, its the people up above, they really need to see in future circumstances, the real picture dementia clients sadly suffer financial abuse without noing from families, poa right in drivers seat, when I say my mother she had not had a hair cut for ages , I cut it I have photo did her loving son do anything no, her slippers smelled of urine, her clothes were old I replaced by myself , people can appear nice just cause they have that paper, but sadly the elderly and who are looking after there affairs are not aware, to come in and find out your mums dead is the worst thing ever I’m disgusted so is my mums family and they have voiced there opinions to her disgusting son he should of won best performance ,for the biggest lyer to management award , I have no complaints of pcws they did a great job, kitchen staff, wonderful they did a wonderful job .and food was wonderful the business side lacks extremely unprofessional and unemapathy to me I am depressed and still struggling with my pain over the loss to find out a month later he lives interstate but that’s ok I also live interstate he hid where she was also if it hadden of been for mums niece I would have not seen her ever, her dementia has been quite along time my uncle Goddad suffered the same and deep depression ran in her family my last moments were coming into her room to find out she had died a month earlie yes I did phone to no adue not good communication I would like to add some staff managers have leaked also information to the ex power of attorney which is confidential information

My aunt Lauretta was at Forest lodge for the last 3-4 years. Every time we visited the home was clean, my aunt was looked after very well, the staff were always friendly, always saying hello. When my aunt passed away last week, they made up her bed beautifully, her crotchet blanket on top, vase of flowers at the end of her bed and her Elvis music playing. Staff sat with her and other residents also sat with her for a while. Thank you for all the care you gave my aunt, it was much appreciated. Jodie
