Room for Movement Pilates Studio
I reached a milestone this month; one year of regular weekly sessions at RFM. Prior to starting Pilates, I’d been having weekly Physio visits for back issues with no real improvement so it was recommended I do Pilates. Best advice, and I’m a convert thanks to the very capable team at RFM. Kelly is my regular instructor, each week she plans a session taking into account any areas that needs focus, setting a challenge & mixing things up so it’s different each week. And fun too. I feel great after each session and can also feel the long term benefits, & no more back pain.

I’ve been attending Room for Movement semi private lessons weekly for around 4 years and in that time have appreciated the professional and experienced instructors as well as the friendly and welcoming environment.I’ve suffered from back issues over many years and has spent many sessions with osteopaths. Since taking part in regular sessions I can feel a real difference and rarely suffer from flare ups in my back any more. So not only are the classes enjoyable, the targeted sessions have helped me to build up my core strength.I can’t recommend Room for Movement enough. Many thanks to Rachel and the whole team.

Room for Movement Pilates Studio
Without fail after every session my body feels more aligned, flexible, strong and energised! It's amazing how dynamic pilates is. Regardless of how I feel or what weird twinge I have, Amanda always has an exercise that will help. You can do many of the stretches at home, but having that subtle adjustment makes such a difference. Even during our Zoom classes, where everyone had different resources, Amanda would tailor to our particular set up and still be able to give us specific and clear instructions. It was a flaweless transition to online classes during lockdown.Because the instructors do continuous professional development, Amanda always has a new technique to try on us!RFM is a lovely studio, where everyone is nice and knowledgeable, however I do call them smiling assassins as they will make you use muscles you didn't know existed and push you when needed, all with a smile!

Room for Movement Pilates Studio
I've been doing both semi-private and mat classes at RFM for over 12 months. I joined the studio to provide me with variety in my exercise program. As a distance runner I find the classes at RFM invaluable. I always feel both energised and relaxed after my sessions. They help keep me injury-free and to manage any niggles that I have.

Room For Movement are amazing at what they do. I’ve been attending for over 10 years including during pregnancy and post birth and have worked with many of the teachers. The staff are amazing at modifying exercises depending on your needs and check at the beginning of each class how your body feels and how you’d like to move. It has absolutely helped with strengthening my core to support my back (and decrease back pain and migraines) and use my joints the way they’re meant to move. I have learnt so much in my time at RFM and do not hesitate to recommend to others.

Room for Movement Pilates Studio
I have been a mover for 5 years at Room for Movement (RFM). I had researched and moved at other studio’s but found RFM aligned with my thoughts on how my body and mind were capable of exploring Pilates. Currently I attend semi private studio sessions with a maximum of 3 students per 1 hour class so each mover has individual attention given by the instructor. I sought the right Pilates studio for my health as I needed to improve my balance, strength and breathing capabilities. What I have discovered at RFM is that I can do more than I thought, wholly supported by all the instructors (a special shout out to Amanda and Christine). You may walk into a session feeling tired, exhausted and generally feeling within yourself that you want to be anywhere other than doing a session BUT I can assure you after your 1hour session you leave feeling elated, body and mind aligned and happy with what you were able to complete. For me personally, having started my journey with RFM you can’t put a value on regular movement and the endorphins you release whilst in a session. My balance and strength have greatly improved and I’ve been able to maintain having less surgeries for my breathing this past year.If you are looking for a group of people who support, encourage and go on the journey with you to reach your goals then RFM is for you! My husband was so inspired by my achievements that he has also been attending sessions at RFM and has noticed his posture has been greatly helped by the targeting of his areas of concern.A studio that looks at you as an individual, listens to what you are saying with respect, to how you/body feels before a session and then modifies moves to suit your situation all the while building you up to being able to achieve a personal goal then I cannot recommend Room For Movement more highly.

I have been attending Room for Movement for 3 years. The facilities are excellent. The staff are knowledgeable, caring and supportive. Pilates is the best way to maintain a pain-free and comfortable body. Improving balance and strength.

Room for Movement Pilates Studio team thank you for keeping my body moving pre, during (online) and post covid. With max 3 participants to 1 instructor there is plenty of focus on my individual needs, professional advice and with a variety of equipment I walk out feeling great and cannot wait for the next week. I highly recommend talking to Rachael and the team who make you feel comfortable and have a real passion for what they do!

Room for Movement Pilates Studio
RFM is amazing. I’ve been having weekly sessions at RFM for nearly two years and the difference it has made to my body (and my mind) has been incredible. I’m a complete Pilates convert (having only practiced yoga previously). I started at RFM on the recommendation of a health practitioner after having my second child. I was fairly deconditioned after two pregnancies and had a lot of hip and pelvis pain and tightness. I had done nearly zero formal exercise for about 5 years. The focussed semi-private sessions at RFM are tailored to my needs and I see for myself the strength and control I’ve gained, even by going only once a week. If I miss a few sessions, I notice the (negative) impact straight away. I feel so much stronger and aware of my body and the hour each week is so important to my health and well-being. All instructors I’ve had are highly committed to providing an individualised approach and really listen to their client’s needs. They also push you to progress and no one session is the same. I highly recommend Lilly who I’ve been seeing for most of my time. Racheal S, Laura and Joyce are also wonderful. They all work you hard, but with safety, care and attentiveness. I also really appreciate the flexibility in the studio and understanding that sometimes you need to change plans at short notice, especially with a young family. Semi private sessions aren’t cheap, but I feel they are totally worth it as I get so much out of it, much more than I would from a $20 class with 20-30 participants. Highly highly recommend RFM!

I have been attending pilates at Room For Movement for the past 6 months. After being recommended by my osteopath for my back and other issues, I started with a few initial private sessions and then moved into the semi-privates.From the get go, I felt encouraged and supported by the beautiful teachers and my class is a highlight of every week! The personalised care ensures I always feel safe but challenged, leaving a great sense of accomplishment, after years of not being able to move my body much.Thank you!!
