Good steep sloped ramp to get the boat into lake Cairn Curran. No bbq's but good shelter to cook in if you bring ur own. Large fire place if you get caught in weather. Light it up and sit back.

Cairn Curran Reservoir's Worst Ramp, Though the Ramp itself if concrete thats about all it has going for it, Even at 83% capacity, The waters are a minefield of hidden rocks and trees. Shores are really rocky impossible to safely anchor a boat nearby. Zero Picnic areas or Toilets on-site, There is what looks to be remains of an old rotunda building which has been destroyed by vandals. There is no organized carparking, only a grassy open area which could hold possibly 5-10 vehicles. Entry down Picnic Road is a nightmare, Real tight corners and a very narrow road make it dangerous for 2 oncoming vehicles carrying trailers as reversing could be quite challenging.

GMW really need to start spending money on the lake side facilities. They look as if they have done nothing since the reservoir was commissioned. Picnic tables it in the blistering heat. With one exception toilets old and you'd be afraid to walk to them in long grass and roads within the lakeside reserves look as though they were last sealed in 1968 and nothing done since - crumbling and pot holes everywhere. Disgusting given the rates they extract from residents across the state

Ah good place for kayaking or paddle boarding. Swimming, not so much but if it’s all you have in the middle of lockdowns, then why not?
