Place is more like a back packers, and is very run down but it was amazing to sleep in the rainforest. It does not offer food in the wet season. Craig the host was amazing and made the experience great. It was great to listen to his stories and learn about the rainforest. It is right across the road from a farm with lots of cows.

We did the 2h night tour offered by Crocodylus. It was absolutely amazing! Jamie is super knowledgeable on the local fauna and flora. In addition, he has a lot of knowledge on bush tucker, bush medicine and some great stories to share. We learned so much! Highly recommended!

We had planned to camp around Cape Trib in late August, but due to the constant rain we were so glad we found Crocodylus. We still had that close-to-nature camping feel, but stayed dry. Cabins are basic but it felt like glamping surrounded by rainforest, which we enjoyed. Loved the communal area and friendly vibe, which provided much appreciated shelter. The communal kitchen was clean and very well equipped. We self catered and just bought beers/wine from them, but the homecooked food looked delicious!

Stayed here with my partner for 1 night and we absolutely loved it! Such a unique and reviving stay with very helpful staff. Would highly recommend the night bush walk tour. Jamie the guide was extremely insightful, knowledgeable and friendly. Saw snakes, crickets, tree snakes, lizards and dancing dragonflies!

- The signage is placed on the side of the road, but if you can spot a signage of a cafe, it is the one.- Its location is really convenient as it's really close to Daintree Discovery Centre.- The parking lot is quite tricky but it's enough for all guests I suppose.- The checkin process is also a little bit tricky as you need to look on the wall and find your name written on the map. I find it's really interesting actually!- The owner and his colleagues are absolutely amazing and friendly. They are happily chatty but surely give you lots of information for your need.- The facility are absolutely enough to make you feel like home, particularly a shared home. But you can cook, you can microwave, you can clean also. There are 2 power stations I guess, but books and board games are also provided for you to off the technology. The toilets and shower rooms are very clean. However, no power points in the room.- There is a restaurant serving breakfast and dinner with reasonable price. It actually taste good, of course not like 5-star restaurant, but definitely you can be happily full.- The experience of sleeping in the jungle is absolutely something you should try. But really, you can feel the vibration of people walking around, what your neighbours whisper as well. Other than that, waking up early and you may be lucky to see some insects or animals if you keep your eye open wide.

Update: please disregard this review, the establishment is temporarily under renovation my apologies!!Below is my prior review before the update[This place is now closed including the restaurant. Drove there today and it had a big closed sign and a for sale sign on the road.Sharing since Google didn’t indicate this place was permanently closed. Sad to see.]

This place is great budget accommodation. Camping with better beds. We really enjoyed our short stay. We went on the night walk which was very enlightening- especially the luminous fungi. If your looking for a place to get off the screens & enjoy the natural beauty of the area, this is a great back to basics place to stay. Be warned if your a light sleeper the birds might be an issue .
