Ageing Barrel Tours

Booked a Sunday Coal River Valley Wine Tour.... and it was outstanding! Our guide for the day was Jack... and he was lovely. We visited 5 wineries and a cheese/chocolate shop. Lunch was restaurant quality meal at one of the tasting wineries. I have never had such a fantastic meal on any winery tour as I did on this day. I would highly recommend this company if you are looking for a wine tour based out of Hobart.

Ageing Barrel Tours is an exceptional wine tour company. The tour guide, Jack, is knowledgeable and passionate about wine. The itinerary is well-planned, and guests are made to feel very welcome. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for an unforgettable wine tour experience.

A groups of 6 of us booked the coal valley wine tour. The tour included 4 wineries, cheese tasting & lunch at one of the wineries. The tastings were very generous with most places allowing us to sample at least 8 wines. Lunch was 1 course at Riversdale Estate & the food was amazing. All the people on our tour were very impressed with the food. Our tour guide, Daniel, was very informative & also accommodated a stop in Richmond do we could see the beige & take some photos. Just be aware that it’s a 12 seater mini bus with vary narrow seats. If you happen to have to sit 4 across in the back seat you will feel very squashed in & it’s not very comfortable. Overall we had a great day.

Guarin was our guide today for the Coal River area. Absolutely brilliant and very highly recommended if you want to learn about the area and the winery industry in the area.

Ageing Barrel Tours was fantastic, and I had a great time! The wine tour, which included stops at some of Tasmania's top wineries, was fantastic. The pick-up and drop-off were easy, and our guide was both knowledgeable and welcoming. This tour comes highly recommended!

What a fun afternoon on the 1/2 day Ageing Barrel city wine/beer/gin/cider tour, our guide/driver Jack was great. The four sites we visited were all fun and delicious. We would highly recommend the tour.

We hopped on at the information centre corner of Davey & Elizabeth streets Hobart and commenced our tour through the Coal River region. We visited 4 wineries being Puddleduck, Riversdale Estate, Pooley and Brinktop. Also sampled some cheeses at Wicked Cheese and had a delightful lunch at Riversdale Estate which was our pick of the day. Probably had the time for one more stop the addition of the Coal River farm would have been good for some chocolate goodness.Jack our guide was fairly laid back and provided some good knowledge of the area.

Garren is an amazing tour guide! So friendly and knowledgeable — he goes above and beyond! Highly recommend and we will definitely be back :)

3 of us were lucky enough to go on a Coal River Winery tour with Garren. It was the best winery tour we have ever been on. Garren was a knowledgeable local who made sure we were well looked after. He took us to such a broad mix of wineries where we had sensational views, met some colourful winemakers and drank some of the best wine Australia has to offer. Would 100% reccomend this tour to every age group. We will be booking another tour to a different reason when we return to Hobart! Thanks to Garren and the team!

We went on the first official Urban Secrets tour and it was great. Only two of us on the tour made it quick but personable at each stop. Jack was chill, fun and knowledgeable. Highly recommend the dry chilli gin from 7k Distillers and the cherry cider at Simple Cidery.
