If you have kids, you must visit this museum. Lots to see and learn about. The kids (6 and 8) got a lot out of our time here. Even us adults loved our time exploring inside. The musuem is cheap to enter and you'll need 60-90min here to cover everything. Exhibits are well laid out.

Wow so much information stored in here which takes away a little bit of the goal and its atmosphere. But definitely worth a look. Full if historical bits and pieces.

The Silverton Gaol and Historical Museum
One of the best small museums I've visited anywhere. Actually not so small. It's like the TARDIS, walk through the front door and it goes on and on and on. Our travelling companions were allowed to take their well behaved dog with them. Highly recommended.

The Silverton Gaol and Historical Museum
Very inexpensive entry, and a huge collection of antiques and artefacts. While we were expected the museum to be more orientated around Silverton and the Gaol, the museum was mostly a collection of items, rather than information and antiques specific to the gaol. We spent about 45 minutes here, and our dog was allowed to join us all which was great.
