Great free camp just outside Penguin overlooking the beach trains pass during the day and one in early evening but we were not disturbed much by them

A convenient, free, spacious place to pull over for the night.We stopped in late last night and were happy to have a place we could safely park in our self contained motorhome for the night.The turn is sharp when you are heading from the direction of Burnie, so be mindful.Lots of spits, some near bushes to help block the wind.The train goes through at night and in the morning and I was the only one who woke up in our family with the noise.We stayed at the Penguin Surf Life Saving Club area (by donation) over Christmas which was great, its much smaller and I’m glad we pulled in here last night because driving past the SLSC this morning, it looked pretty full.Closest dump point and water is in Penguin.Thank you for having a free, safe place to park overnight!
