Working with Modern Group for roller shutters was an absolute pleasure. From start to finish the service from all staff was exceptional. Every step of the process from ordering to installation was explained along the way. After installation there were two follow-up calls to make sure we were satisfied. And the roller shutters themselves are amazing. Aesthetically they match our brickwork and blend into the house. Easy to operate, smooth and quiet. No more noise from the busy early morning M1 in the bedrooms and the early summer morning light can also easily be blocked out. Definitely a five star product and service from Modern Group!

Just had our outdoor blinds fitted, definitely a 5 star service from start to finish. Theresa came to measure and help provide solutions to what we needed, gave us lots to consider that we hadn't thought of. The blinds came quicker than we expected. The installation was completed by Shaun, fantastic workmanship, we had one little thing that we wanted altering and Shaun came back to look at it and fix almost immediately. In addition to this, the the follow up customer service was also on point, just checking up on us to ensure we were completely happy, which of course we are!!! Cant thank the team enough, we totally love our outdoor area now.

We had the team at Modern install some outdoor blinds to help enclose our patio. The area was essentially unusable in the afternoons due to the western sun. The modern team were very professional, right from original quote to the final installation. The quality of product used it second to none and really separated Modern from its competitors. I highly recommend Modern and will defiantly use them again in the future. A 5 star service from the whole team. Thanks again for making our patio area usable.

Do not go near this company. The poorest service I’ve ever seen. Will not fix problems with shutters, only three months in and every item has an issue. Shutters falling off, installation was very poor. Items delivered do not fit use. Now going to Fair Trade QLD as will not respond to calls or emails. People have been hurt from tripping hazards. Even if items were fixed they would not last long and the Modern Group are not interested in resolving problems in a timely matter. Even the original quoting process was shifty offering 10% off if you let them advertise with a sign in your yard. But when you say no they then offer you the 10% off anyway. Do not use them! Posting for a friend who is too angry and frustrated to write something civil.

Thanks to Modern Roofing for an amazing roof and gutter replacement and restoration.The house is now safe for the rain etc for years to come and it looks great!The price, the timing , the communication and the service by the sales team ,tradies and office team was absolutely honest and fair. Yes it took time - EVERYONE wants their roof. done and yet we were patient and they were professional.I will choose quality and reasonable prices every time.Thanks Mick, Steve and all the MODERN roofing team

If you want your job completed in a timely manner, AVOID MODERN at all costs! We waited months for our plantation blinds to be put in, and when arriving for the final measure were told we couldn't have the sliding blinds as we'd been quoted and all had to be fixed panels. The worst thing though is their roofing department. Over one year later and the job still isn't finished, phone calls and emails go unanswered, their customer service and level of communication is terrible. Modern blame it on lack of contractors, yet continue quoting work and taking on new jobs knowing they have a backlog of customers from 9 9 months ago waiting for work to be completed. Not good enough, particularly given the cost. I thought I could trust the Modern name, but should have done my research beforehand. Definitely wouldn't use again, and wouldn't recommend.Have since downgraded to 1 star as even after emailing customer care and calling the team at Head Office leaving numerous voicemails, I have still had no response.

I had a disappointing experience with the agents who came to my house for a quote. They missed not one, but two appointments for a quote, which was frustrating and inconvenient for me. Additionally, I found it problematic that they were adamant about revealing the prices only if both partners were available during the appointment. As a customer, I expected transparency and flexibility in the pricing process. The lack of consideration for my schedule and the unwillingness to provide pricing information unless both partners were present was disappointing. I hope the company can improve their appointment management and pricing policy to provide a better experience for potential customers in the future.

Our roller blind experience was interesting to say the least with the final outcome becoming a very satisfied customer, indeed! We did have a few hick-ups, however with all excellent staff, they responded to our concerns and needs impeccibly. Instalation went smoothly, service was fantastic (had a few issues with the blind not going all the way up) this was rectified promptly with multiple visits. Finally, the promised app is now working! Yeah! So happy with the outcome, may have taken a while to accomplish, but well worth it! Thanks team, the only reason the 5 stars were not achieved was due to time frame from start to finish, way too long. Just need to polish up on that. In all fairness it may not have been entirely Modern's fault, it's a sign of the Covid times we now find ourselves in.

TL;DR Installation great, product quality okay, administration and customer service horrible.We originally chose to deal with Modern Group because of the well-known name.Everyone we dealt with was friendly but admin and communication fell down a couple of times. Our first appointment for a quote was completely missed and we were told it was due to an IT Error. Not sure on that because further communication misses later lead us to think it’s not their strong suit. The only times they were on time with communication was when they wanted payments.Salesperson and Installer contradicted each other in what could be done and when. We were promised things by the salesperson that the installer said could not be done, like that it would be finished within 1 week, except it took 1 month and that installation would only take 4 hours but it ended up taking 10 hours on the day. Left us feeling like the salesperson was only telling us what we wanted to hear to make the sale.The installer was professional, prompt and friendly and did a good job, apart from leaving some screws and other metal shards and shavings lying around after the job was done.After installation we noticed that some of the shutters don't completely close when fully down, leaving small light patches. The issue comes and goes, so it might just be a settling in thing, but its still something of a minor concern.We're relatively happy with both the noise and light blocking properties of the shutters, but unfortunately haven't had anything hit them with force to test their robustness :PStill not entirely sure it was worth the investment.
