Captn's Cove
Food is good, however you better dress for arctic tundra because it's below freezing sitting in here waiting for food even if you're dressed for winter. I went and waited in my car because it was loads warmer in my turned off car than sitting inside with the icy breeze and seat. Another customer had to do the exact same thing. Also the menu is in a font that's difficult to read even for my partner who has perfect vision and was standing right at the counter. I recommend ordering in advance so you spend minimal time inside

They put the fish on top of the chips, they were ridiculously soggy, inedible. Literally wet chips -.- HOW ARE YOU IN BUSINESS?!Worst potato cakes I've ever had and family couldn't eat the fish.Hands down, worst fish and chip shop in Melbourne.

quite tasty chips and amazing burgers, I also love the potato cakes, very nice aesthetically pleasing store front with a very cool vibe, customer service is very good by everyone I've ever met in there. Definitely recommend if your in the area

Overcooked, oily food, no seasoning, the furniture in the shop was very sticky. The flake batter had a paste like texture, not good at all

Come here a few times both for lunch and evenings. Staff are almost great and extremely helpful. Atmosphere inside is lovely and very inviting. Menu is excellent with lots of choices.Highly recommend the Atlantic Cod. Don’t forgot to order those delicious chips too.Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good parking.

First time ordering from captains cove was great. The fish was definitely the best tasting out of the area and the serving size was pretty generous. The staff was extremely friendly and service was quick!

First time ordering from Captain Cove, placed a phone order and after walking in to pick the order up my expectations were not high… the store looked unclean and when I sat down to wait my arm stuck to a dirty table. Got the food home and the entire order was over cooked, oily and felt gritty on my teeth.

Really polite staff, good quality food, burger was massive and salt and pepper calamari was actually salt and pepper calamari! Cost was very fair for the amount of food we received.Fast service for 7:30 on a Friday night.
