Camera House - Lismore

Went in here today to get passport photos for our 1 year old daughter. The young woman who helped us (unfortunately we didn't get her name) was so lovely and managed to get a perfect shot almost straight away (not an easy task with a wiggly, smiley 1 year old - no smiling allowed in passport photos!) Such a great experience, so professional and friendly. Thank you Camera House Lismore!

I have been a regular at camera house for a very long time, since moving away from Lismore I still return here when I am home to process film. The last time I returned it was a horrible experience. The order was completely stuffed up and a solution was given to fix it, 5 days later I still have not recited my prints when they were promised. Very disappointed with the service and false information given, I will not be returning here again.

The guys here are super friendly, helpful and caring. I purchased a camera recently and love it, and was happy supporting a local Lismore business. Highly recommend.

Hands down the worst retail experience i have had in a long time. Pretty much had the staff trying to talk me out of buying a camera. Wanted information on camera accessories, the first visit was totally useless for information, the second visit...the same person presented the same lack of knowledge and or care made slightly better by being handed over to a slightly more enthusiastic clerk. More than a week later i still do not have any information or even a price on the items i was requesting to buy.....despite my requests at needing to sort out this purchase asap. If you value your time.....shop somewhere else.

Unfortunately I will not return. Love the camera and the price of the camera was competitive. However the sd card I was encouraged to buy is a very different story. A 64gb card for $100 seemed at the time ok as I haven't bought one in a while. But now realise the same card can be bought for $30. Good service can not overpower a feeling of being conned. Maybe at $50 I would think was fair as a local bricks and mortar with face to face service.

I am 74 and having persevered am good with IT, but troubleshooting is not easy and I’d rather try to fix a problem on a computer than the camera, with a beautiful D SLR camera I have, with lots of features, I find they are very complex and if you’re buying a new camera it’s not just a difference between a PC and Mac, there are so many different possibilities, so many different sorts of cameras before you even get to the lenses, what kind or photos do you want to take for example,shots of nature, people, and if you’re doing like I do product shots for an online shop it’s a very different area again the many choices you have with the cameras can be bewildering, that’s why I’m grateful to the staff here each and every one of them offer empathy and patience , and then the imagination to follow as to how to resolve your particular problem, because of the complexity I’ve mentioned it’s also up to you to help them by being very clear about what you want to achieve, ……“it takes two to tango”

Friendly staff but they don't have a great knowledge of photography or their stock. High prices unless you get a manufacturer's special or rebate. I love to support local businesses but not if they are uncompetitive. There are far too many better options online these days.

Camera House is struggling to come back after the catastrophic flood.Community support would be most welcome right now.

Friendly and helpful staff with a good range and seem to know their stuff.

Absolutely hands down the worst customer service I’ve ever come across...went into store a week ago they didn’t have camera in stock at store and cause we were looking at purchasing multiple items the guy that served us said that he needed to send his boss email as I had a price from another store....so still waiting to see what boss said....pathetic absolutely pathetic customer service....went to store I had email from and purchased from them would never set foot in Lismore store again they lost a $1000+ sale
