I really enjoyed my stay at mad monkey central, it’s super clean and sociable. The facilities are great and I especially liked the movie area and musical trivia. The staff are also very kind and super helpful if you have en enquiry. Overall would highly recommended a stay here!

Worst hostel I’ve stayed at so far in Australia. Staff were helpful but wish more could have been offered to accommodate complaints. The bathrooms and the rooms were the dirtiest I’ve seen. From mold to cockroaches, I don’t know where to begin. Kitchen only had a few burners that worked so it was tough to cook but kitchen overall was decently clean just not a lot of space to store your groceries. Pros: location, average laundry prices ($4/load), common areas, movie room, lockers in shared dormsCons: cleanliness, lack of secure luggage storage

You really do get what you pay for. Stayed here as got told it was more chilled than gilligans but it is still very noisy if you are next to the bar. The rooms are tiny for 6 people and without proper windows (at least on the ground floor). It felt really unclean which was not helped by the fact there was only one shower and toilet between my floor. Desperately needs an update.Perks are the free breakfast and bar area!

Great place to stay, was the best hostel I stayed in in Australia. Staff very friendly, helpful great crack to get along with. It was clean. And also the place was also good to meet new people by having events every night. I would 100 percent recommend staying in mad monkey central

It's expensive, but quite and not to loud at the evenings.Kitchen is okay, cleaning personal doesn't take any consideration, even if you put a do not disturb" sign on your door

The only good thing was the breakfast. Otherwise, there was cockroach and bugs everywhere. I left the hostel before the end of my stay because it was disgusting. One fell on me as I was reading in my bed. Also there is one bathroom/shower per building. So you’ll have to wait to take your shower or walk to the other building and hope there is not one. Laundry is 5$ to wash and 5$ to dry and no place to hang your clothes. Don’t expect to have a place in the fridge there’s only one and it always full. Definitely one of the worst hostel I ever been in my life

Not a great hostel experience. I had heard good things and I never expect a hostel to be clean but this one was notably dirty. Would have been fine for a night but I was meant to stay a week. The fridge was broken and all food was stored in a small temporary fridge, making it impossible to find anything and making the biggest mess of everyones food bags. Staff was so unfriendly. Disappointed in my experience here. Did not stay my whole booking.

Went for a second stay after an overnight tour. My suitcase was stored safely and again I had a warm welcome by the staff, the room and common areas were clean again. This hostel is super social, the hot free breakfast is amazing, as well as the free gym and there is something to do every day/night! Would highly recommend a stay here :)
