Great Ocean Road Tourist Park

This place was a real gem. So glad we stopped here.Had seen a review about mosquitos being an issue..not an issue at all. They must have had a one off event due to weather.Really great camp kitchen, great facilities, friendly staff. We had a beautiful peaceful spot right on river. Highly recommend after 6 weeks on the road this was one of the best and prettiest.

Friendly reception. Clean and comfortable basic cabin with good parking. Handy to shopping centre. Fairly close to ocean.

Excellent, low crowd gem spot! Totally worth the extra drive. Toilets and facilities are clean. It has an awesome play area that can keep kids busy for an hour or two.

Just spent the night at another Gday parks. We called and spoke to Michelle to ask for availability. There was. She is very kind.We paid 32$ for an unpowered site. We were really amazed by the kitchen area, games room, living area, so clean. The same for the bathrooms. This campsite is perfect if you have a tent and it is raining. You can spend a lovely evening warm under a roof. Location is perfect if you are on the Great ocean road. I highly recommend.

The staff were very kind when they saw me playing at the basket ball court and they wanted to lend me a real basket ball

Nice, quiet and peaceful place to stay over.The cabin I was staying had a wonderful river view.Second time staying and will stay here again if coming back.

I chose this park based on the reviews, but can't say that I agree with most.Dean was super helpful and friendly in reception, can't fault him.The location was pretty good, it does provide good access to the southern end of the Great Ocean Road and the main tourist icons.The sites. If you get a waterfront site, it's a pretty good outlook. Apart from that, you're dotted in amongst cabins or the permanents, most looking like they have been there for a long time and aren't that well kept.The amenities were clean, but were very dated.For me, this park was a place you'd stay more out of necessity than it was a place you would stay because it was a fantastic experience. If you bear that in mind combined with the price, then you should be happy enough. I weighted too much expectation on the numerous 5 star reviews and I expected more because of that.

We wanted a base to explore the southern end of the Great Ocean Road and we found the perfect spot! Great grassy site which made our very dog happy and the park itsrlfs has the best amenities. Clean, hot showers, the best equipped camp kitchen and a laundry with plenty of machines. Dean is very helpful and welcoming and we really appreciated his many tips. We really think this park and Peterborough are the Great Ocean Roads hidden gems !
