We unfortunately waited a long time for our food, over 50 minutes. This felt even longer after difficulties making a group booking through the preferred QR code ordering method as we had no table service. The food was pretty good. Nice spot with a decent atmosphere.

We came here for dinner on a Saturday night and couldn't fault the service or the food at all. The staff were wonderful, the drinks were delicious and the food was great! Steak cooked to perfection, Pumpkin soup delicious and creamy. The overall vibe / atmosphere was lovely.

I visited Monkey Tree recently and immediately fell in love with it. The outdoor atmosphere was amazing, the staff were so friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious and really filling. I also really appreciated that my pet was allowed to join us. I will definitely be back soon!

When travelling to a new location on holiday it can be quite daunting to find somewhere for everyone to eat , especially when you have fussy eaters in your party .I was very impressed by the service of the Monkey Tree , as we had people with both food allergies and a very picky eater.I was quite apprehensive but our server , Maxine , bent over backwards to accommodate us .The teenagers had some garlic bread - I could hear the crunch of the bread as they bit into it . My youngest also had a bowl of mashed potato with gravy- a strange request to be sure , but they have sensory issues and this is a comfort food for them.My friend had the lamb shanks - it was cooked perfectly and fell off the bone , and the accompanying vegetables were very flavoursome. They were also impressed by the celery that came with the vegetables , they don’t usually like celery so were very pleasantly surprised at how good it tastedAnd I had a rump steak , which was cooked medium- so moist and juicy - with the mashed potato and steamed veggies.It sounds trivial , but the mashed potato was amazing, and we were scraping it off our plates . Simple things done well are often the most memorable .To drink , I had the Wildflower Pink Gin from the newer Wildflower distillery on the Gold Coast , which is a lovely slightly sweet gin , with both citrusy and floral tones and tasted similar to Hibiscus flowers. If you like gin , this is something to try .The place had a relaxing ambiance - I’m a sucker for fairy lights - it had both indoor and outside seating and an indoor and outdoor stage for any weather conditions .We rounded off our dinner with a few little cakes , which was a pleasant way to end the meal .It was also amusing to see a few quirky decorations around the place, as they both added to the atmosphere and gave it a whimsical air .I do want to thank the staff , and Maxine especially, for their effort and patience for a wonderful experience and for the effort they put in to make our evening memorable .

Plenty of outdoor seating with large tables and we were able to order at our table via QR code. The wings I ordered were tasty but the chips were slightly soggy. It was a nice place for a pub style lunch.

Worst experience for lunch today. We had a big group of 16 people which we had to separate into 2 tables. We ordered at 12:50 in separate orders by using the QR code per table. Our drinks all come out fine and quickly and 2 of the meal orders came out quickly but everyone else’s meals never came. We spoke to the wait staff and they couldn’t even find our orders. We then had a lady come out to find out what meals we had at around 1:40 so they could cook them. We finally got our meals at 2:15 some coming even later than the others. The worse thing was having to prove that we had paid for the orders by showing them our credit card receipts. The meals weren’t that great, definitely not worth waiting an hour and half for. After all that we never even got an apology. Stay away it’s just not worth it, we worked out we spend over $500 between us for the worst experience ever. A lot if the meals were kids meals so we had some very hungry upset kids with us. The only good thing I can say is that the wait staff were lovely.

We were a little hesitant after reading a lot of bad reviews but our experience was 5 star. The waitress was friendly, helpful and attendant. I chose a sirloin steak which was very tasty and tender. The chips were crunchy and plentiful along with a well dressed salad. My partner chose Atlantic salmon which was also very nice with the same accompaniments. The Wednesday menu was sufficient but relatively small but included $20 specials. There is a similar but different menu on Thursdays (locals night) and a different menu for the other nights. Good mood lighting and perfect for a romantic dinner.

We had a lovely lunch here. The staff were friendly and our drinks and food were served quickly. We had avo on sourdough and a veggie burger - the bright green (spinach) bun was weird but tasted good. Also great to see vegetarian food that doesn't pretend to be meat. Both meals were delicious. This place had a nice atmosphere and there was plenty of space between the tables to enable conversation without having to yell - hard to find these days (it was midday on a Saturday, with most tables occupied). Recommended for good vegetarian food and service. Thank you.

Can’t say how much we enjoyed our time at the Monkey Tree Bar & Restaurant! Lots of options on the Gallery Walk but the food and atmosphere at the Monkey Tree made it our favourite. Lots of options and can accommodate dietary restrictions.The owner Mark ensures all customers are well looked by his friendly and professional staff. Loved coming in for early morning coffee! Consistently excellent each and every time. Breakfast and lunch options were generously portioned and very good. People looking for a friendly and fun atmosphere to have a meal, indoors or out on the patio, be sure to stop in to see Mark and staff. We look forward to visiting Mt. Tamborine soon!
