The negative was that there isn’t a lot of car parking. As lots of groups meet here then head out for a day walk the car park fills up quickly. The positive is that there are picnic tables and shady trees for people to have a picnic. A short walk will take you down to views of the river and the gorge. Also a short walk takes you to the old aqueduct that was built in the early 1900’s to supply the township of Bacchus Marsh with water.

Awesome little place not to far from melbourne or geelong, great walking/hiking/trail running tracks around and wildlife

Great starting point for either the Werribee Gorge circuit or the gorge walk. Drop toilets, a couple of picnic benches but even more lively is sitting on the rocks by the running river.

Such an amazing walk starting and finishing at Meikles Point car park. Not many parking lots. Ours was the only car when we started the Werribee gorge circuit hike at 7.15AM on a Sunday. Took almost 3.5 hours with , when we came back, it was full. Don't miss out the Eastern and Western lookouts. Marvelous views.

Such a glorious walk starting and finishing at Meikles Point. We calculated the circuit as a 8.6km hike and it took us about 2.5 hours – and of course we stopped to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend.

Beware Poison Hemlock growing all along the walking path. Even just touching this can be fatal. Council should have this removed professionally and it should be closed until done. Someone will become seriously ill or worse.

Good for day hike. Amazing view from the top. Bring extra water. We spend 5 hour to finish big circle. The road up and down so be prepared.

A beauty of a picnic spot, and one of the starting points of the Werribbee Gorge Circuit trail. Entry to the lower picnic area might be a challenge in 2WD vehicles after rain as it gets quite muddy. Will definitely be coming back in warmer weather. The gorge walk is a must!

Not a lot of car parking spots and the dirt track in is a little rough after heavy rain. Lots of good spots to enjoy the area however. Snakes definitely present in the bush so keep an eye out when hiking. Saw an echidna when looping around on the short loop trail.
