Well set out camp grounds. Beautiful walk around the swamp - needs to be walked to be appreciated. Saw plenty of wildlife even a spotted quoll.

Good site with toilets and a common area. The common area has some barbecues here and a fireplace. Great if it is bad weather. Make sure you are prepared for bad weather due to the altitude it can get quite cold.

It's always such a pleasure to go up & camp at Polblue - great facilities, view of the marshes & within close driving distance of a lot of walks. Nothing beats the feeling of waking up in the morning to the sun & kangaroos just outside the tentAccess at the moment is Via Scone only, the road is a bit steep but doable even if you've got a standard car (just expect to go slower)

Magical place to visit in winter, with brumbies running through the back of the swamp and an abundance of wildlife to watch. The community area is awesome to warm up next to the fire or prep for meals.Plenty of space and level ground to camp.Take your own water and travel to the conditions as it can be slippery in snow.

Been meaning to scope out the barringtons for quite a while. Headed from Newcastle via scone and the track is in great condition. If icy conditions weren’t a concern you could comfortably get there in a 2wd. Campsite was very clean. We passed a total of 2 vehicles up there and shared the entire polblue site with one other pair of campers. Got to -2° and as most of the wood around was wet I recommend taking at least 10kg of firewood per night of camping. Keen to get back up there already.

Beautiful area. Lovely, short (2.7km) easy walk around Polblue swamp. Lots of seating areas along the walk for you to sit and admire the scenery. Polblue creek was very picturesque and produced such lovely photos. Unfortunately, the brumbies were in the area and you had to dodge their poop. The nearby picnic grounds were great with (drop) toilet facilities.

Awesome camping spot, spent a weekend there with friends, the weather was soggy, but the clean, and well kept camp sites made it a really enjoyable stay. Plenty of spots, on a spacious clearing, with an awesome Community Hut" with a stone fireplace

Camped here when it snowed, what a beautiful place! The snow added to the experience! Such a cool place! There's a nice relaxing walk around the lake which has picnic beaches located around the lake. The camping area has plenty of camp sites with designated fire spots. Theres a community hut with fireplace inside.

Due to COVID-19 all campers must pre-book sites via NPWS. Ranger will check daily that your vehicle is registered to camp. Daily visits by the friendly ranger also means the toilets and bbq are clean.Ample camp sites scattered around, so no feeling of crowding. A good base for 4WDing nearby trails. Unfortunately most were closed when we visited due to recent rain.Leisurely walk around the Polblue Swamp (peat bog) with evidence of recent visits by feral horse, pigs and dogs. We only encountered birdlife and couple of brush-tailed possums. Lots of insects, so come prepared. No drinking water and limited firewood. Not a lot for kids to do, but if you like peace and quiet and no mobile service, it's perfect!

Great facilities considering the remote location. Would not recommend going up in a 2WD. Very many potholes and bumps. Relatively quiet, but can get crowded with other campers easily, maybe less so compared to the other sites in the area.
