Its a pretty nice place, I use it to get back home if I wanna ride the train back. Lovely rural-ish setting and friendly staff.

Pleasant enough station once you’re at the platform. Make sure to check the signs when you park there though. It’s an easy place to cop a parking ticket in the western side car parks, especially over by the tennis courts. Busy bus interchange is on eastern side of station. Walk across from buses and into village with post office, bank ATMs, pharmacies, Woolworths, Coles, Dan Murphy’s, a good selection of food. Eltham has a great Independant book shop on Main Road, one of the best coffees in Melbourne at Papa Bear, the Burger Lounge & Old Evropa Bakery (google the names).

Great local station with friendly staff if required. Has on on-platform pop-up coffee stand on weekday mornings (although the coffee from cafes right next to the station is far superior). Connecting buses right next to the station.Inconvenient access through single narrow underpass.
