Tennant Creek Caravan Park

Good caravan park with friendly staff basic amenities but lovely hot showers and bbq. Gates locked at night. Please support them. We walked down the street and chatted to locals all good

I booked a cabin here so that I would be next door to the Greyhound bus pickup location for a 1am bus to Alice! (If you know, you know ..)From the moment the police dropped me off (I lost my car in the floods and they were kind enough to give me a lift across town !) Kylie was a warm and welcoming host!! Nothing was too much trouble and she was only too happy to instruct and reassure me on my safe midnight passage to the truck stop next door for the Greyhound! She even came to my rescue from a (dead) huntsman in my room.The location itself is fantastic. Very convenient to town, a short walk from everything. The ensuite cabins are clean and comfortable; it’s not the Ritz but you get plenty of value for money!As a bonus, because of the rains the park was teeming with gorgeous bird life. I had never seen budgies in the wild before !It truly was a haven in the desert for this damsel in trouble! Thank you Kylie & Tennant Creek Caravan Park for accommodating me at such short notice.

Excellent park well laid out great camp kitchen locked gate at night very safe lovely staff enjoyed our stay.

Receptionist was kind, friendly, professional. I have a tent and power required for car they had many sites to choose from I choose under the trees as arrived midday ish so proved some shade, the facilities were clean well maintained, I felt safe as the gates are locked at night with key pad for access in and out, place pet friendly. Price was fair.

I often stay in a cabin at this Caravan Park when I visit Tennant Creek. I find the cabins are clean, stocked with comfy beds, linen & towels & have everything I need to prepare simple food. If you are worried about security the park has it covered, with good fencing, lighting, security cameras now installed, and an electric gate that is closed overnight. Reception is very friendly and helpful. Pets can come too. Great value.

We got an unpowered site for a quick stay on the way through. Overall ok, toilets and showers were good, camp kitchen needs a revamp, very noisy overnight until about 3am with yelling/screaming and carrying on nearby. The gates get locked over night which is nice to know and provides that extra bit of security. Overall not to bad- lady at the front desk for check in was lovely too!

Park just as you enter Tennant Creek. Variety of powered and unpowered sites available, either grassy or slabs (which need a bit of refurbishing). Also have a variety of cabins available Has a swimming pool, laundry and camp kitchen and is pet friendly. Amenities are clean but have the usual red stain in the toilets, showers and hands basins from the outback water. Reasonably priced per night as it has good security with lights, cameras and locked gates at night.

Look, I don't wanna be mean and this caravan park is by far not the worst out there, but I still didn't have a good time.The camp kitchen is okay and equipped with a microwave and kettle as well as (ancient) barbecue grills.The shower and toilet facilities are clean but the light always takes a moment to turn on.The pool area was nice and shaded but there was a dead frog in the pool.Now, the real problem was the night. We could hear yelling from outside the park and there was a car driving through the park all night and staring directly at our tent. Couldn't sleep and was happy to leave the next day.

Located along the highway at the north end of town, very friendly owners, we stayed in a nice cabin with enough space for a family of four. Comfy beds, a kitchen with oven, stove and microwave, bunk beds for the kids. The park has a nice pool, the kids enjoyed the swim even though the water was cold. A lovely place to stay, we arrived on a Sunday so almost everything was closed, not much to do in town.

Great spot with super clean facilities. Very helpful owner and a peaceful park. Highly recommended.
