How can we not have a real train service to and from Brisbane? We have a station & rails even a large population that travel to and from Brisbane daily. We have 2 major bus services that run at the same time to and from Brisvegas and if you miss the last 4pm bus from Brisvegas you better get yourself somewhere to stay the night. This is a joke. 30 years ago they had a train service that ran to Helidon which was at least something but that was a long long time ago, you would have thought they would have progressed by now! In Sydney you can catch a train up the same Great Dividing Range to Katoomba on a regular daily basis, so what is it with Toowoomba? It is quite obvious the governments and council don't give a stuff about us up here on the mountain as all the money goes to Brisbane, Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast whilst we get nothing! Let's get with the times and get a reliable rail service that does'nt take 4 hours to get to Brisbane twice a week and call that an adequate service....

This is a wonderfully well designed railway station that is let down by it not being used for the purpose it was designed to fill.Toowoomba needs a regular train service to Brisbane.

Just a 2 hr drive from the coast along a 4 lane express way , to the top of the great dividing range, australia's 2nd biggest inland city, however, you will feel like your in a garden country town full of historic buildings and parks, and a climate which allows you to experience the 4 seasons

There are trains to Brisbane departing at 7am on Thursday and Saturday only.There are trains to Charleville/Roma departing at 11.25pm on Tuesday and Thursday only. A day trip to Brisbane by train is possible on Thursdays only.In September there are also heritage trains from Toowoomba to spring bluff a couple of times a day.

There don't seem to be many trains stopping here anymore and the toilets are locked and the brasserie is only open a few hours when trains do go through. Too bad it's not open all the time.

The children from Goodstart Highfields rode the Toowoomba Train to Spring Bluff over the Carnival week. The staff and children that went on the train have come back to me raving about the experience and the help they received from the staff at Toowoomba Rail. The staff went above and beyond helping educators and engaging with the children during the morning. They made the trip a memorable experience for all. Thank you and we will see you next year.

Fantastic old train station fully preserved. Great Cafe with old world charm, good coffee, nice food and also bookable for functions. Memorabilia from the railway's glory days are behind cabinets for those interested. Well reccomended.

First of all, it is a beautiful heritage station, which provides a lot of history from days gone by. However, I don't like the fact there is only one train service from Brisbane that operates only twice a week. It's very disrespectful, especially with Toowoomba's population nearing 150,000. Hopefully, a new and better train service will come in the near future.

Lovely building, that really lets you drop into history and imagine a different time. Even better is visiting when they're running the steam trains.
