Small Israeli cafe with very good coffee. Have some bench seating to look out at the always-interesting Newtown streetscape. Very tasty pastries like a egg and bacon Bourekas which is a Sephardic Jewish pie/pasty. Also have Enmore and Erskinville stores so very local focus and much bigger menu at those bigger stores.

Cute little coffee bar in the heart of Newtown. The cafe is tiny and cozy with window seating that is perfect to people watch and take a minute away from busy King Street.I ordered the iced coffee with almond milk and a scoop of ice cream - it was perfect. Frothy and creamy, super yummy. Also had a feta savoury pastry warmed up, really good.Coffees, teas and sweet and savoury pastries are on offer.

I order a mocha and the ladie just used the same milk she did for a late for the customer before meThe milk was completely flat, when I asked she said it won’t be flat , so here is the picture and video to show if that is not flat what’s this then?It happened just now 8:22

This place is inconsistent especially early morning. It can take forever to get a coffee depending on who is working. And then it can be great. Guys, please get quicker in the morning and be consistent. This way people won’t walk out. Coffee can also be so cold and weak! It’s gotten worse ☹️

Shenkin's always been a local favourite since this outpost has been open and its location is perfect for a pre bus coffee.However I've never been into their coffee to be honest. Too fruity for my liking.The vegan pastries however are delicious. I got both the potato and cauliflower burek and they are both lovely.The pastry is delicate and crunchy and the filing is soft, very well seasoned and flavourful. Always on my mind when I walk past.

Dropped in every morning on week long stay in Newtown, with daughter (chai latte fan), for coffee and pastries. Superb coffee and fresh pastries. Service was super-efficient, with focus on fast turnarounds so mostly friendly but sometimes a little profunctory - out of necessity. Highly recommended for a quick coffee and perfect crunchy pastries.
