Ma La Xiang Guo Chinese Restaurant

It was the worst service I have ever experienced in SYDNEY Chinese Restaurant.We went there for family reunion dinner and we are a group of 9 adults with 2 kids (under 5). When I called them to make a reservation, they replied me as I can’t make a booking since today is Sunday but there is definitely places and they will arrange tables for our group when we come. So I went there and this was what I experienced badly.when we get there, they told me that they don’t have enough tables and they can’t arrange tables for us although I saw there are 7 tables left. I told them if that’s possible to merge the three tables for us and the waitress replied me that, those tables are for small group of people.So I asked them if there is any reservations for those table and none of them have reservations.So, I don’t understand why can’t they merge 3 tables and arrange for our group? They insisted that they can’t do for us.I felt there is racist in that restaurant since we are obviously group of more than 10 ppl and they don’t want to arrange a table for us and still insisting to wait for the uncertainty, but letting us go and without even make it easier and also giving the worst service.Me and my family are the regular customers to that restaurant and we do our Reunion dinner quite often specifically in that shop.I believe that the waitress (2 ladies) should learn how to serve the customers in a restaurant and to learn more on how to handle to big group of customers ( REGULAR) to give a better service. BUT for now, it is POOR with 1 star since I can’t give less than 1 star.So me and my family wont go there again next time For SURE since we are experiencing the worst service and felt racism.

Very bad managenent, communicationand service. We are usual customers and purposely went for family dinner there after an hour drive on 8/1/23. I have called and booked .The restaurant has tables for dining but the waitress told us , unable to provide tabl for 10 people which is ashame for a chinerestaurant in Sydney . She said they have to keep tables for two people dining tonight , meaning awaiting for customers who are not not booked , not even sure to eat in the restaurant yet, while the usual customers arrived at restaurant for dining .We all feel the waitress ( who can speak English) is racist and purposely made us go out of the restaurant . We plan to have a feast for family reunion for the night and Yes we very much well spent it in an another restaurant who respect customers.I hope the chief manager and the owner of this mala xiang guo restaurant to acknowledge this issue and provide necessary lessons their waitresses and staffs to respect all the customers . The waitresses should learn how to serve the clients well.

Food is really great. Much better service compare to other restaurants at Burwood, NSW. Visited several times and would love to visit again. One of my favs in Sydney.

Newly renovated not long ago and it was really not the same like before with a very nice ambience and sparks with good vibes of bits of western style.Even though the atmosphere is good but still the service is the same like before... POOR.Practically have to wave to get the staff attention for our order while 3 of the staff were chatting and fooling around with each other in the counter.While we finally get one of their attention, the staff came to our table with a dissatisfied face as if we had disturb their conversation. And the face even darker when we asked for some spoon for the soup. For such a nice place they gave us takeaway soup spoon which is a bit weird.Ordered the fried hot pot and one of their casserole salmon fish head. Wasn’t really sure if it’s our problem or the food but missus and I had a terrible diarrhoea the next morning. Suspected it was the salmon fish head as we had the dried hot pot most of the time (but not in this restaurant).

Was there last night on my friend’s request, the food is good with the price little confuse with the menu and the staff doesn’t show any respect while serving food maybe she was hurried as her shift was ending and the restaurant was not so busy they could be more attentive. it’s open till late so if you work around can visit late night.

The quality of the food at this restaurant is average, neither outstanding nor disappointing. The prices are also average, neither too high nor too low. However, I was quite disappointed with the service, as it felt cold and lacked any passion. It's hard to believe that such indifferent service would occur.

Ganguo style little restaurant. Good taste. In the style. Not as spicy as it should be, considering not in China, it is totally worth trying though. Just need to make sure they get the right order cause sometimes they get too busy and mix up the orders. Not a big issue.

Very nice spicy dry pot. And the price is pretty good as well. Rice noodle is also delicious. But others we ordered just okay.

nice place to go if you finishes your work @10pm. hearty with rice noodle served in pot. grilled items taste good but bit pricey.
