Batemans Bay Marina Resort

Worst Holiday ever! Boom gate codes didn’t work. Seascape Villa (7 days) had ‘nt been cleaned from the previous occupant’s. Was filthy and stank of Cigarette smoke & dirty nappies. Housekeeping were quick to arrive & do a quick spot clean, was happy with this assuming there would be a mid-week clean. Day 5 arrived & still no mid-week clean. We would be out for the morning so asked if the villa could be serviced during that time, to which the receptionist replied yes. Arrived back approximately 2pm & still no clean. My elderly mum was exhausted, so left her to nap. Couple of hours later arrived to find 1 x bed stripped with dirty sheets on the floor, (replacement sheets & towels placed on the lounge) We assumed the housekeeper found mum asleep and left and would return later. I attended the reception who advised me that we were not entitled to a mid-week clean and that we should be grateful for even receiving clean sheets. I explained the room was not fully serviced when we checked in, to which she said that there was no record of this on the computer-so she was unable to assist - so we had to make our own bed . On day 6, housekeeping finally arrived to do a clean. Manager advised he would do something for us to make this right, however we are still waiting. I guess he’s too busy filling up that big black garbage bag with all those RATS! We didn’t even mind the run down facilities or the state of the villa, but the staffs attitude towards us and unwillingness to listen or help, was unbelievable. It’s a pity because we have stayed previously without an issue. We were made to feel unwelcome & won’t be returning.

Our family come here year after year and its always a positive experience. The cabins are great with everything you need, and only a couple of minutes walk to both the beach and the lake. The marina and town centre are even within walking distance. The facilities are brilliant for kids, with a large pool, tennis, mini golf, ping pong, snooker, a games room, a sand field, jumping castle, kids play area, and bike hire. The resort itself is massive with plenty of space to cycle and walk around, with numerous BBQ areas. Staff are always courteous and helpful. Highly recommended for a family getaway.

Lovely place to stay. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Nice quiet location

We found that it was run down, but I think they are in the process of upgrading. Our linen and towels were changed on our tenth day which I think was lack of communication. Overall a bit disappointing as we are on a pensoin and payed a lot of money for what we got.

We had spent four days here and had a wonderful experience.The staff are super friendly and helpful. I left my IPad in the cottage. The staff informed me immediately after they cleaned the room. And they helped to organize the aupost to send the iPad back to me in Sydney packed in a well well protected parcel. Thanks so much for the considerate.The facilities are well managed. Toilet and shower facilities are very clean and all the time.Kids had a excellent time as there are a lot of facilities for them in the resort, like playgrounds, jumping park, mini golf, swimming pool etc.Definitely recommend to all families with kids.

Room was not ready when we arrived,We filled out the form stating our ETA was 11am. Was told the room would be ready between 2-3pm. Finally were allowed in our room at 4pm.When we booked this stay 2 months prior we always stated there was 2 adults and 5 children. Nothing was ever stated about the fact you could only have 6 in a room.We were supplied with a mattress to put one of the kids on the floor after I informed that the kids would not be sleeping head to toe.At check out this was raised with the assistant manager and the person that booked the room in the first instance.We were met with arrogance and basically asked if we lied to them and told them we had a baby with us so we could get a cheaper room.It says on the booking confirmation it was for 2 adults and 5 kids so clearly we did the right thing.Please don't then tell me that we were lucky because we should really have booked 2 rooms and paid a lot more, it was your error not ours we did the right thing.The BBQ was filthy, the main toilet door didn't close properly, no TV remote in the main bedroom.Bottom bunk smelt of mould.1 star is too many in my opinion, will not be staying here again nor will I recommend to any family or friends.Happy to call and discuss if you would like.

Nothing fancy but everything we needed for our stay. Clean linen, kitchen essentials, compact but heaps of room. Great array of extra activity options and space to amuse the kids too.

A great place to holiday with the family. The cabins are basic but deliver everything you need. The outdoor facilities are great and offer lots of sporty activities for kids both big and small.

Location is really good ,I wish the rooms were a little cleaner or updated curtains need to be changed, my kitchen had a ant infestation the rooms are clean but not. clean enough , they give good amounts of towels for the stay the rooms needs to be upgraded and furniture changed also my kettle was putrid overall my stay there was great and the kids loved it they loved the activities that they had at the site the bikes are fun too , paula at the front is a gem she was really helpfully and welcoming.

We were very disappointed with this place as it was way smaller than what we expected. Also, no Airconditioning in either of the bedrooms. Only living room had the older style wall air con which was too noisy. The kids bedroom was so small that no two adults can stand together and I was so surprised that there was not even a fan in that bedroom. There was no lock in the bedroom so no privacy. Cabins are located in front of each other’s and you can hear the noise from the neighbouring cabins very clearly. So you have to be mindful of how loud you are all the time during your stay.Swimming pool was just usual but again surprisingly, there were no showers at the pool. The only free facilities you can use is the pool, rest of them were all paid. The few good things were like it was clean and has a good location, good view.Overall, it was over priced with very few things to cheer for.
