Tap Alterations

I always enjoy dealing with Kelvin and the team at Tap Alterations. I use them exclusively. They can do anything with clothes. Wonderful polite people and considering their experience and the quality of their work, they are extremely well priced. I strongly recommend them!

Fantastic service and very attentive. I got all my girls dresses altered for my up and coming wedding and the service was impeccable. No alteration was a problem and they were willing to go the extra mile to ensure I had everything I needed before my big day! Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Very rude staff. I brought a table cloth into this business and the woman didn’t want to help me. I needed a table cloth cut and she asked me to cut it for her at home and bring it back. Isn’t that your job? She clearly didn’t care about customer service. Very rude. Surprised to have that experience at a place that prides it self on customer service. Very rude.

The staff here are very nice and easy to talk to, which makes it easy to let them know exactly what you want done with your garmet/item. The quality of their alternations is at a high standard and if for any reason you aren’t satisfied they will improve their job and because of this I’m a returning costumer.

Professional, efficient, and so lovely. Had two pairs of wide-legged pants that needed a hemming, and they offered to do within a few hours on a Sunday, at very short notice. Very pleased with the results and will endeavour to have all my alterations done here. Thank you!

I took a pair of jeans in to have the zip replaced. When I went to pick them up, the replacement zipper looked like it was for MENs jeans! It doesn't close fully or smoothly. The slider is huge! It looks ridiculous. The new zipper is silver rather than brass and looks cheap. They have ruined a really good quality pair of jeans. I now have to take them elsewhere to fix. They did offer to send them off to replace but that would take another 5 days. Initially I agreed but came back and decided to take them elsewhere as I could not be certain what would come back. As they had done the job, they wouldn't give me a refund. Complete waste of time, money and energy.

Two experiences: one pair of jeans hemmed too short (above that we measured); the second the right length but the stitching was poor - not straight across.

Without fail Kelvin and the team have provided flawless and efficient service for all of our dry cleaning and alteration needs. My partner values the care taken with her precious workwear and I have always appreciated the alterations from suits to pants and the dry cleaning that I have needed for unexpected events. We have been going to tap regularly for some years now and they have never missed a step. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thanks guys!

Great friendly and professional service ... super speedy alterations and good price. Can not fault, all the times i have been there the turn around on my alterations has been phenomenal.. !Updated review: I wanted to update my review as i recently took in a feather dress to be altered! As i am short i wanted to have the dress hemmed up though i knew it would be extremely difficult due to the whole fabric having feathers all over it. They advised it could be done without the look of the dress changing in any way. When i picked up the dress i was extremely impressed with the job completed, as promised the alterations did not change the feather design, they were all aligned properly in the same direction (this i felt would of been hard as when i tucked the hem myself the feathers went everywhere!) And on top of this, for the complexity of the job i felt it was fairly priced. I can't thank them enough for the job completed.

Had a maxi dress that I bought online during lockdown and it was too long for me - Tap did a great job in 24 hours and the hem is really straight and well-sewn. I was impressed because the skirt is very long and billowy and had lots of material so I tried to hem it myself originally and failed (I have basic sewing skills, but this was way too difficult for me). The staff were all really lovely. Really happy and now I have a dress that is wearable!
