The Hepburn Springs Chalet
A quaint guesthouse where you take a step back in time to the 1950's. The rooms were very clean and quite adequate. We had a twin room. The continental breakfast provided was very generous with a good range of cereals, stewed fruits, yoghurts and a variety of breads, muffins etc available. Toaster provided and tea and coffee making facilities available. There was also a kitchette provided near guest rooms with a microwave, refrigerator and tea making facilities provided for use by guests. Check in was seamless. Owners were helpful, informative and friendly. Tariffs were extremely good in the mis week off season time in which we were guests at the Chalet. I would definitely stay there again.

Was a horrible experience booked 2 nights in the deluxe double and was put in a small room my very first thought was i want to go home. We payed for 2 nights stayed for 1 and booked a different place 50 metres down the road for the same price. When we spoke to them about it they changed our room to a marginally better room and tried to get some sort of refund for the second night but was told only if they rebook the room. Spoke to people around town and everyone could say where we had booked. Will never be staying there again. Was more like a backpackers then a hotel. Could hear every noise inside our room But on a positive the bed was fairly comfy

Spent two nights there with my sister we both enjoyed our stay. It was quiet, warm, beds nice and comfy very laid back atmosphere... breakfast had many choices , must say the whole experience was enjoyable if you like old school and a relaxing atmosphere I would recommend it..but if you are looking for bells and whistles and full service would suggest you go elsewhere..myself and my sister would defiantly stay there again.

Lightly Refreshed 60's era motel.A smattering of Mad Men era paperbacks , LPs and posters greets you at the door. Walk inside and you have a little choice of a either pool table and a bar or lounge area with a mix up of second hand lounges. Uni student hang out maybe , but venture into your designated room and you may regret the price of admission. Barely warm with the room heater at full , TVs are set with base to 0 to obviously not cause any racket - bathroom appears to be an afterthought with our toilet sitting in what used to be an adjacent wardrobe ?! and the original door sits with its dodgy screw job to keep it closed from outside passers by.Bed is a little soft , pillows are too soft - granted it is sharp as a button and clean as a thistle. It appears someone has spent some time gathering bits from Op shops the world over the furnish this place. The rest of the place is stuck in the 1960's ( just like my grandmas place according to my wife) and sparingly touched with tasteless nude paintings (aren't we in the era of women's Fem push again? Ironic in this hipster joint ?!)I want to be comfy , warm and welcomed at any hotel the world over - and unfortunately this place lacked.PS don't bother parking out the back - I was directed to take the skinny lane to the back , only to be frustrated that several other visitors took it up three spots each with their two cars. Perhaps a sign stating 3 spots" or a line for a guide ?"

What a disastrous day!! We drove for 2 and a half hours only to see this run down place which had a very small basic room that looked like a prison cell. I was horrified to see the place and did not want to stay there for more than 5 minutes. So we left immediately. The manager was extremely rude and has a below average customer service level. Not only that he is a liar, claiming the bed was soiled when we were only there for 5 minutes and only sat on the bed. I would not recommend this place and would give it a zero stars if i could. Very, very disappointed.

This place is awesome! Staff are super friendly and fun! Gave us 12pm checkout as I was feeling unwell and rare getaway from 3 kids! It's large quaint old style house that you can wonder around, open fire, play a game of pool, have a drink. They have a microwave for bubs, filtered water, they even don't mind if you want to eat your take away in the comfort of the open fire and pjs! Would defs recommend this place and come again :) awesome! We booked a queen room that had 2x extra single beds so next time we can bring the kids! Super clean, comfy beds, home away from home :)

Had a lovely night here. Beautiful, well loved building with plenty of character. Loved all of the seating around the common areas, the little touches really make it. Definitely a very distinct style. Staff onsite were absolutely lovely, even when they were quite busy and customers being unnecessarily chatty. The breakfast was simple, but nice with options to cover most diets. The room was large and bed very comfortable. The extra pillows and blankets were appreciated, but the room stayed beautifully warm in the middle of winter. Could hear people coming and going a little through the night, but not very much, most people were respectful. While it may not be the jewel of the town, it's an absolutely quaint, quiet place to spend a night and should not be over looked.

As someone who loves rustic accommodation, I found the Hepburn Springs Chalet perfectly comfortable. The service was wonderful and the in house massage therapists were very good. For the price, you get a clean room to sleep in.Noise levels in the room was the big let down. You can hear everything from the neighbouring rooms including toilet sounds and loudly creaking beds. My wife and I had to listen to our neighbour vomiting all night.I would stay there again, my wife would not.

I really liked this unassuming accommodation. It was clean, warm & welcoming. The bed linen was top quality and the bed super comfy. The room was heated & the shower was great. The vibe is laid back; the decor & furnishings retro. Communal tea & coffee making facilities; basic (but perfectly sufficient) breakfast (cereal, toast, fruit, yoghurt, coffee/tea); small wall mounted tv in room.If you want bells & whistles then this probably isn't the place for you but I liked the simplicity and comfort of The Hepburn Springs Chalet.
