The Bushranger Hideaway
Stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate a friends wedding nearby. We arrived around 7pm, nobody was around, it didn't appear anyone lived on site. We had received no instruction as to how to get into or how to find our cabin. Luckily I had cellphone coverage and contacted the number on the website. Our cabin was up a goat track and was opened. The cabin was basic, open plan, yet pleasant. It would have been nice to have a door on the bathroom, was unpleasant at times with toilet odours wafting through. The bed was extremely comfortable. It was a lovely secluded spot and would be agreat city get away.

The Bushranger Hideaway is nestled in beautiful surroundings not far from Byron. The beds are comfortable and the amenities are clean and quality. The staff were really helpful and obliging, my friends and I would definitely come back again.

A response to the manager...Your response only further supports my review. The request to change/refund was denied prior to any discussion, so suggesting you were willing to be reasonable is entirely false. I have records of phone and email which clearly shows my communication prior to check in date.The fact that you are stalking my facebook profile is a demonstration of your sheer unprofessionalism. My life, situation and location are none of your business. You are in a customer service industry and your service is absolutely atrocious.Anyone thinking of booking here, reconsider, as this is what you are dealing with.

I loved my stay here, the location was beautiful and tranquil. Rooms were simple and clean. The pool and outdoor kitchen are well maintained. An excellent budget option in the area!

Host was extremely rude about a concern we had about the drinking water (see photos for reference; yellow liquid in glass on left is the drinking water from the tap vs the water we purchased), we were particularly concerned as I am pregnant and we had a toddler with us. I had been vomiting randomly a few hours after arriving, we were unsure if it was related. We only noticed when filling up a clear cup for our toddler the colour of the water was a Chardonnay yellow. Given the colour of the water and not being confident with the filtration system, we felt it was valid to be cautious. My partner went down to the main residence to discuss with the host, in hope that they may offer us some alterative drinking water options, as their water was from another tank. The host was extremely rude from the beginning, he seemed bothered by the question/concern. He offered no understanding, compassion or alternative option. He did not offer to check the water, despite us explaining the risk with me being pregnant. Claiming the water is totally fine. We were defeated, and shocked by his response, but decided to not let it ruin our time and sorted the situation ourselves.However, the host initiated and persisted to send harassing, rude and attacking messages to me throughout our stay and has continued after we checked out. Calling us city folk" (truth is I grew up in a rural town

Basic accommodation, peaceful and quiet. All cabins very close so not much privacy but fortunately we picked a quiet weekend

Obvious the owner cant take any constructive criticism and attacks customers for anything other than a 5 star review . Dont stay here .

Great place to stay! Very prepared with amenities! A very peaceful stay with a great bbq and a fantastic bbq set up. Would stay again!
