Soul Body Shiatsu

I had a pregnancy shiatsu massage and a birth preparation shiatsu massage with Marian. Both were really lovely relaxing experiences that helped me to connect to and sink into my body which was invaluable both in pregnancy and in the lead up to giving birth. I would definitely recommend this to any pregnant women.

I had an amazing shiatsu with Marian recently, in large part due to the incredible combination of theoretical and practical knowledge Marian brings, combined with her finely tuned intuition. I’ve been seeing Marian during my early months of pregnancy for sacroiliac joint pain. She understands the journey and stages of pregnancy to deliver a safe and effective massage service for me. My pain is relieved after each session, she also gives me great tips and advice on how to manage the pain outside of our appointments.

First time I had Marian's treatment was when I had been having difficulty sleeping from stress, anxiety and busyness of life. On the night after the treatment I had an amazing sleep!! I saw Marian at 37 weeks for a Birth Preparation Shiatsu.  I was due to be induced the following week.  Having been induced previously I wanted to do everything I could to be prepared for this labour.  Marian helped open and relax my pelvis.  I couldn't squat before her treatment but was comfortably squatting afterwards.  I saw Marian a 2nd time and she did a special treatment as my cervix was not dilated.  We both felt my energy change during the shiatsu.  I felt restless and ready to give birth.  I was induced 2 days later and gave birth naturally.  Marian also came to see me post birth and gave me a shiatsu at home to help with breastfeeding.  It also cleared some other energy I'd been holding and I felt relief that my son was finally here with me.
