People often criticise Scotch College for taking its students out to do hard labour in the rice fields for seven hours each day, but I think child labour forms the building blocks of a successful, hard working adult. Why waste time teaching the next generation filler subjects like mathematics" and "lunch" when we can teach them about rice and farming rice?"

UM ACTUALLY, FIRST OF ALL DID NOT ADVISE A MOTHER THAT MY CHILD WAS BALLIASTIC BECAUSE A CHILD WANTED A CAPITAL LETTER UNIFORM OR ANY OTHER IDEA.UNLESS THEY HAD LET IT INTO THE SCHOOL THAT A HANDBOOK OF ANY KIND WAS READ, THE KIDS WOULD NOT BE GIVEN ANY UNIFORM!NO CUTS, NO MOHICANS, NO NOTHING!

Scotch was a great place, my daughter went there and received great education! Would recommend to anyone with children who would like to go to a diverse school.

My step-son went here and thrived in his education. However like a lot of A grade private schools, it is less interested in non-academic kids. Fortunately, my step-son was very academic, so they encouraged and nurtured him. However, when it came to the later years of year 11 and 12 they were actively encouraging their less academic kids to go elsewhere. I don't think this is a great message to send to society. If you're academic in the natural sense, you couldn't get a better education, but I believe the school should cater for a wider range of kids right throughout their school years.

My son went to scotch never let me know he didn’t turn up to school he had to ride his bike along power street a busy road. Told they would let me know after two days my answer not after four days. Never recon call. Bulling complaint will that also was negative from them. Only thing wanted him to drop maths in final year as doing 6 subjects said Chinese no that would wreck the class. He did the six subjects passed at a cost mentally. Think twice
