Bargara Blue Resort

We note there have been some less than inspiring reviews. Ours was a very good experience. For a start the unit (#20) was clean and possibly recently renovated. Furnishings, TV, bed were all in first class condition. Wi-fi worked perfectly and is installed on the TV. But no problem with it on phone and iPad. Kitchen was well appointed. Lounge area air-conditioned with additional ceiling fans. Ceiling fans in bedrooms and extra TV in master bedroom. Lounge suite very comfortable. Nothing really to complain about. Golf Club Bistro is across the road and quite reasonable. Walking distance to coffee shops. Stayed 4 nights and enjoyed the experience.

Friendly reception staff. 3 bedroom apartment only had 1 aircon unit which didn’t reach 2 of the bedrooms. Quite dated, but nice. Parking isn’t easy for a landcruiser, it’s very low clearance and tight. Ok for a short stay.

The hosts/managers were really lovely and helpful and the room was beautifully decorated with very comfortable beds! We wish we could have stayed longer

We stayed in Room 19 which looks like it is the room to avoid judging to other reviews. - no cleaning was done before we got the room - floors had dirty, muddy footprints on it and we couldn't even take a shower because of the state of the bathroom.Can't recommend this place. Not evenfor one night. Didn't enjoy the seaviews because couldn't see through the windows - was so dirty of months build up of seaspray.

The room itself was okay, but the management here is a joke. After leaving the accommodation they rang to inform us we had left behind some stuff and asked if we wanted it shipped to us I said yes and was already aware the management have a twenty five dollar fee on top of the postage just to take it to the post office but just accepted that and said to go ahead and still post our stuff back to us. I then had to ring back the accommodation on four different occasions to see why it still hadn't been posted over a two week period and was told that they have life's too" and "they would get to it" on the day they finally did post the package I was told the total cost and payed it but once the package did arrive we could clearly see that they had doubled their amount

Stayed here recently for a last minute trip so there wasn’t much accommodation choice left. This place looked nice on the website. The managers were nice and friendly and check in was smooth for us.We had room 19, they are a bit outdated which I don’t mind but I don’t like when rooms aren’t clean especially when places are declaring through covid they are doing more cleaning checks. This place clearly isn’t.The dust was thick on my bedside, lamp and around the bed head, corners of the floor. It could use the walls a clean as there was mucky hand prints and food on the skirtings and doors. The curtains were musty smelling with mould which flared up my allergies and found it hard to breathe. It was very cold weather yet all that was on the bed was a sheet and 3 blankets in the cupboard which were questionable as to if they had been cleaned and I didn’t really want to put on the bed.Positives: Mattresses were comfortable on both beds we had, sofa was brand new and very comfortable. The view from the room was nice.Overall I was disappointed with the cleaning aspect of the 2 bedroom apartment we had. It made our stay a bit uncomfortable, however for a short last minute trip is was okay. If the cleanliness of the room came up a bit more then it would be worth the price to stay but the rates are overcharged with the current state of dirtiness.Recommend: some deep cleaning, new curtains to reduce the mould smell and health hazards to guests and clean bedding.Thanks

Room , unbelievably dusty. Bedside table and lamp had layers of dust. Bedhead the same. Fan blades in bedroom were also covered in dust, when I turn the fan it just added to the pain and blew it everywhere. Curtains in bedroom also hasn't been missed, with mould on them and covered in dust.I spoke to the gentleman who was on reception yesterday and alerted him to the dusty state of the room just after I checked in, he came through and made an attempted to wipe down the side lamps, bed head and fan in the bedroom. This only seemed to stir up more dust.Shower. Mould throughout the shower. Floor silicone WAS white. Now looked like a dalmatian dog print with the amount of black mould . Shower screen had long black hair intertwined in the rollers. Again large amounts of mould .THERE'S A SPECIAL LEVEL OF NEGLECT GOUNG ON HERE.

Cleanliness is not their strong point. Hair in the bathroom when we arrived. Floor clearly had not been cleaned. Doors have never been wiped can see everyone else's hand marks.Lift has a funky smell the hallway area on each level between the rooms and the lift is even worse.Paying a premium price you should at least have a clean room.

Reasonably nice place, however the curtains were mouldy and I did find a cockroach in my room. However, everything else was mostly clean, the rooms were large and it was nice and quiet. Also, the beds were pretty comfortable which is good.Would be willing to give it another go next time I’m in the area.

We had the perfect stay at Bargara Blue Resort. The wonderful management went out of their way to make sure we were 100% happy with our accommodation, the room and views were absolutely lovely. Such a great location and we look forward to returning in the near future.
