Caringbah Chinese and Seafood Restaurant

This Chinese restaurant only opened recently but in my opinion is the best in the area. The owners previously ran Sutherland Chinese & Seafood in Sutherland.We have had take away on two occasions since it opened and both times it was great.Highly recommend the spicy salt chicken wings.

I was a first time customer & I was very happy with the quality of the food & the serving sizes were also very generous. I ordered a King Prawn Omellete, Sate King Prawn & Chicken with Vegetables plus a Large Fried Rice. (See pics). Cindy was also very friendly when I collected my order which was very nice as she was so very busy as the phone was running hot.Just as a point of clarification despite the very similar name the owners of this restaurant were not associated with the previous very long running Caringbah Chinese Restaurant which was a bit further down the Kingsway towards Cronulla & which closed in 2017. They previously ran a Chinese Restaurant in Sutherland for 21 years though.Now a word of advice for prospective customers.During the current Covid lockdown restrictions restaurants are doing their absolute best just to survive. The very fact that they cannot have any dine in customers & can do takeaway only is going to greatly impact their service ability so cut them a bit of slack in these very trying times. If you do foolishly still go with a 3rd party delivery service don't crucify the restaurant if the delivery service lets you down.I learnt long ago to avoid 3rd party meal delivery services as they set totally unrealistic delivery times especially during peak busy times often without consulting the restaurant. Then on top of this they take a sizeable chunk out of the restaurants profit often 15% or more. So, you are strongly advised to go & collect your own food to avoid often very lengthy delays & disappointment. My food was ready for collection in the restaurant exactly at the time quoted over the phone. While paying I overheard staff quoting delivery times of 80 minutes to people phoning through orders & that was only at 5:30pm on a Saturday so don't get sucked in by what the 3rd party delivery services tell you.Do yourself a favour & collect your own food then everyone will be happy.......Steve

Order food from here had to wait 1hr didn’t mind as it was Mother’s Day when I arrived to pick my food up was told I had to wait 45-50 minutes longer as the food was not ready I questioned why I was not informed by a phone call they said it’s Mother’s Day.this is the second time I have ordered from here and had to wait longer then I was told the people behind the counter where rude and didn’t care this will be my last time ordering from here very unprofessional

I wish I could give more stars. The best Chinese in the Shire. I'm from the inner West and spoilt for exquisite multi cultural cuisine. Finding a restaurant with this quality and service in the Shire is rare. I will be ordering weekly from Carringbah Chinese. Thank you Cindy and compliments to the chef.

Be patient with waiting for service & food also the service manners.We sat there for 90 minutes, only an appetizer, spring rolls, came. Nothing else. When I asked, no apology. What she replied was, I concluded it: No food come yet, TOO BAD!First and Last visit! Too bad!

Living in the Cronulla area, I’m constantly looking for that Chinese Restaurant that I can call my favourite. I’ve found it. Hosts John and Cindy were fantastic and so welcoming and polite. All of this is nice but would be nothing without great food. My family of two adults and four teenagers thoroughly enjoyed every dish. We will be recommending Caringbah Chinese to all of our friends without hesitation.

As you can see all meals were fabulous. Service was A1. Huge portions very tasty. Could not fault the service or food. Highly recommend this restaurant.
