Investor beware!Over the last 12 months I have been liaising with Bronwyn Malseed (who is one of the owners of Malseeds Real Estate in Mt Gambier) in relation to my two investment properties her company manage on my behalf. Because of the amount of emails/phone calls (and their content) I was getting from her pertaining to our investment properties, I assumed she was one of the property managers looking after my properties. I have since found out Bronwyn has no qualifications to be acting in this role and I have since forwarded a complaint to the SACAT with my concerns.12 months ago I decided not to renew a tenancy agreement at one of my houses, I was very clear with Bronwyn about my intentions. In the months and weeks leading to the end of the tenancy contract I kept in contact with her and even received a call from her husband Jason Malseed assuring me the tenants will be gone by the time I travel 2500km to take possession. I arrived the day after the lease expired to find out the tenants were still at the house and that they had not found anywhere to move to. For the next 2 weeks I had to take up residence in local caravan parks moving every couple of days. This is the time that I seriously questioned Bronwyn's ability to manage our properties. I looked up South Australia's (SA) legislation and guidelines ultimately finding out Bronwyn has no licence with the governing bodies in SA to perform this role, I looked on the Malseeds website and she is actually listed as an Accounts person no less!!As a result of what I believe to be serious mismanagement of one of my properties (costing me tens of thousands of dollars and as well as what I envision months of labourious work) my wife went to see Bronwyn with a letter requesting we be released contractually of our obligations after the bond is settled (and claimed on with regards to damages and unpaid rent). Bronwyn became aggressive towards my wife chastising her in front of junior staff in the foyer of the Malseeds office. Ultimately we were released of our contract however they left the process of claiming against the tenants bond to us and provided no guidance at all. I am left feeling offended that for 6 years Malseeds (most likely Bronwyn as she works in accounts) deducted their monthly management fee during times when things were easy however when it gets difficult (and as a result of their poor management of my investment) I was dumped and left to fend for myself navigating my way through claiming against the tenants bond.

Settlement has just taken place on my home in which I purchased through Malseeds Real Estate Mount Gambier and I couldn't be happier with the whole process, communication and awesome deal! Thanks mostly to Jason who was true to his word and (even though others had their chance) let me get my home at a deal that everyone was happy with. Thank you to the team at Malseeds!

The service from Malseeds has been excellent, and has exceeded our expectations. The staff did whatever they could to make our move to Mount Gambier from Adelaide into one of the properties they managed as smooth as possible, and our experience renting through them has been brilliant. The staff have responded to our queries and any matters raised with them promptly and professionally. Jason Malseed, the owner, is a kind and welcoming guy who has made us feel like very valued customers and we cannot speak more highly of him and his staff.

Jason and the team have been very professional and extremely supportive from start to finish in setting up the commercial lease for our business, we could not have asked for a better experience, and the service provided by Malseeds real estate has been outstanding. update :) Interstate investor be aware!!!Happily paying $2500 for termination plus lawyer fees for the short 2 weeks with this agency without tenant and above quoted invoices with unprofessional work carried out. Best money spent to stay away from business like this, please do not contact us or our new property manager ever again.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I have already sent a replied email on the Tuesday (5th July 2022). Wendy Flint, went well beyond our expectations to sell our home, she gave us a sense of confidence and security and never failed to keep contacting us to keep us informed and updated. She is definitely a people's person, honest, reliable and has integrity. You will never be disappointed by having Wendy sell your home. She will succeed for you.

Jason was very open and honest about our house - told us exactly what needed to be fixed/ what the problems were straight up so we could make an informed decision. Jason and his team has made our purchase easy and enjoyable. Will recommend the team to anyone!
