Tooraloo Farm Stay Byron Bay
This was just a lovely spot with the cute farm animals, the pool, the beautiful scenery, and the unique decor that made this place so special. I appreciated the integrity of Concetta: She was so easy going and honest that I immediately told all my friends. This is my go-tom place in Australia. Highly recommend!!

I have been a guest a number of times at Tooraloo. It has always been a lovely experience - in particular being hosted by Concetta was a treat. She is very creative with how the property has been dressed. The detail is very unique and inspiring with her artistic nature. Having tea in her garden is something you should really try out. The place is kept very clean and my experience was world class. I am looking forward to staying again.

Be aware of this establishment, our family had booked our accommodation 6 months in advance to only have our Christmas ruined by Concetta’s scheme for more money.Upon arrival we were informed we had been upgraded to the barn stay, upgrade was definitely not the word we would describe as the accommodation we booked was 250sqm and the accommodation we got was 80 sqm.Once all of the family arrived and discussed our options we confronted Concetta about our accommodation and explained we wanted what we booked and paid for or our money back, she explained to us word for word that she is sorry and that the group she put in our accommodation had 14 people and we only had 9 so she thought it made sense to put more people in the bigger area with no regard for need or our rights. Not even a phone call to give us the option.I then explained that it is fraud to do this and that she can tell them to move or we will want a full refund, she then explain that it’s Christmas I cannot ask them to move! She tried to give us an extra cabin for 2 of our 4 day stay which was zero help to us!At this point it was getting dark we had traveled already 4 hours to get there so we decided we will stay the night and come up with an option the next morning. As we woke we had noticed mosquitoe bites all over our 3 month olds face and our 15 month olds aswell due to the barn having holes everywhere for them to get in.The beds felt historic, no working doors no kid safety whatsoever in the building, I couldn’t believe the price of this place for what we had got.She offered no refund for the lessor accommodation until we brought up price differences in the accommodation then she offered a $1000 refund to try shut us up.We had the most horrible experience here and ended up leaving on Christmas Eve and hadto book our family into a motel and move everything again to a new location. She then tried to charge cleaning fees even though it was cleaner after we left and had paid cleaning fees on booking, she also tried to not refund us the gst from the booking even though it’s illegal. Please be careful doing any business with this women she ruined our first family Christmas away together.

We travelled from California and we were advised by friends that’s been at tooraloo farmstay to stay there since they raved about it we decided to give it a shot. We contacted concetta who was so accommodating and so professional. The place and what it represents even looks way better in real life than photos. The authentic look the authentic smell have all been preserved that if you really love that kind of vibe you will surely indulge with the ambiance. The art addition that was added to the place is a museum by itself to enjoy while staying. It was sad to see some reviews talking about the smell of the place. That’s the point the smell isn’t bad it’s more of authentic that was quiet pleasing. Gotta give the place and the team behind making it happen a 5 stars for the stay 5 stars for the attitude and hospitality.Highly recommended will definitely visit again down the line

My stay was lovely, the property was beautiful and the hosts were very accommodating. Great affordability in Byron bay as well, and close enough yet far enough from the main town. Highly recommend.

Believe the bad reviews. No matter how bad your stay is, how the accommodation will not meet what you were promised, or how hostile the owner will be when you realise you have been ripped off and you dare confront her she will say you are wrong and she is right. We were not informed that she had ‘mistakenly’ double booked our accommodation, kept my money for over a week and refused to refund all of it. She then responded to my reviews to try to make it look like it was all my fault. She will not engage with you as a business owner who is trying to fix her ‘mistake’.She raises her voice and flaps her arms. And to this unprofessional behaviour I do have several witnesses.Believe me when I say avoid this place at all costs. She will respond to your poor review as though she is a victim, making you the customer look like you’re in the wrong.I intend to get my money back through the proper authorities and bring this person to justice.Very little of what she will say in response will be the truth.I thought I would not be shocked by Concetta's untrue response to my review. But her dishonesty goes so far that she would lie to NSW Fair Trading, not just to me.Our stay was made completely miserable by this host. She was incredibly hostile, as many other reviews have stated here.It is very suspicious that just following my honest and quite bad review, a number of lovely reviews cropped up all at once. None since, few before. Strange? She tried to cover up what she had done to us in booking our accommodation to someone else after we confronted her. Has now gone on to pretend she did not want to ruin our Christmas. Its mind blowing. When she realised we did not want her feabile attempts to placate us for her fradulent bookings, she became hostile, yelled at us, screamed there was nothing she could do, told us we were difficult. It was her fault! It was Christmas for goodness sake. She offered another two bedroom dwelling at a considerable distance away from the rest of the group for two nights only, not the duration. There was a communal kitchen again some distance away that she offered us to use. This is already free with anyone using the accommodation!!We would have been unable to be together as a group for Christmas as she gave our booked accommodation with 4 bedrooms, 250m2 to someone else and did not tell me. Did not admit her fraud until she was confronted. When I reported her to NSW Fair Trading she lied to them too. She told them she offered me another dwelling for the duration of our stay. Which is untrue. She lied about refunding my money in full. She kept more than $2400 that she is refusing to refund.I now have the option of going further with an application to the Fair Trading tribunal.I'm assuming this is where people stop if they go this far, and she gets away with her abuse of what she thinks is power and greed.I implore you, be very very wary of this farmstay and its owner.Nothing is as it seems.

RAT INFESTATION.We stayed in the Barn Stay at $1500/night. We arrived to discover that the place is totally infested with rats. Yes, Rats, not mice. There were fresh rat droppings everywhere, on the kitchen counter, in the fridge, all over the ground, on the beds...EVERYWHERE.We brought this to the owner's attention and she simply wrote this off as being country and rustic. Scandalous. For the remainder of our stay, as we or they cleaned, rat droppings continued to appear everywhere. We saw them and heard them throughout our stay.My wife, 3-year-old, and 4 month old daughter were required to sleep in the car during our stay for health reasons. As we booked for New Year, 2022-23, there was nowhere else to stay, otherwise we would have left.We did leave a night early but we refused reimbursement. The health department should be informed and shut this place down.Read enough through Google reviews and you will see a trend of similar concerns and systematic denial and excuses.AVOID.
