I work in balmain and have ordered food from here before, it use to be good quality and price. Sadly 2023 must have made the staff lazy and rude, (quality and size was also disappointing) I ended up throwing it away due to the weird taste and the sick feeling I was getting (how do you ruin grilled fish and chips???)... I hope this is a once off but I will not be going back to this place.Adding to my post after the owners msg. I have spoke to my colleagues about this and read some further reviews, there seems to be a pattern here... Lucky balmain is filled with many food businesses that I would highly recommending other than this place.Me and my colleagues still stand by my original statement of not returning again.

I visited Santorini for the first time with my family on the weekend, I told Micheal (Team member & owner) that I had a feeling this is going to be to be one of the best seafood takeaway/restaurant that I’ve tried, he smiled then 10 minutes later he brought me out the pack and presented it in a very classy and proud way, well he had every right and reason to as it was by far the best seafood I’ve ever had the pleasure of consuming. I got the “fat lily’s catch” and everything on it was 100% rubber free, fresh and absolutely delicious, I’ve been to very expensive seafood restaurant that didn’t taste no where near as good. Whoever is on the grill is a exceptional cook.My partner and kids said the fish cocktails and fresh prawns are the best they’ve ever tried, and my partner is hard to please when it comes to fresh seafood. Can’t wait to visit this place again. The customer service by Micheal was above and beyond, very passionate and bubbly that alone makes me want to return, Jeremy served and helped me at the till, Excellent service that dished out the best seafood In Sydney, and I’ve tried just about all of them. 10/10

Great Fish & Chips, potato scallops and home made rice pudding. I chose to eat in and was happy to see food served on melamine plates with real cutlery. Outstanding service.

Very unassuming fish and chip shop in Balmain, the seafood is always fresh and arrives perfect. Hands down the best fish and chips I’ve had in the Inner West. If it wasn’t currently off bread, I would be trying their amazing selection of burgers.

Such great burgers, used to be the best traditional Aussie burgers in the area. Sadly the brioche bun has invaded the burger. Please have an optional bun. I’d pay a premium for the old original bread buns back. Amazing chips.

Quiet poor food. The fish was old. the calamari is saturated in oil and crazy thick so not appetising at all. The batter is good. The chips are dodgy

Great fresh seafood. I had 6 fish cocktails. With chips for 14.90. Plus also had a serve of calamari It's was all freshly made and the best batter. Home made tarta sauce always makes a big difference. Yum I ate way too much

The chips were equally impressive—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. It's clear that the ingredients used were of the highest quality, resulting in a truly unforgettable meal.Not only was the food exceptional, but the portion sizes were incredibly generous. I left the fish and chip shop feeling completely satisfied and satisfied. The prices were also reasonable, considering the quality and quantity of the food served.
