I have been learning Arabic and German at the East Melbourne Language Centre for 4 terms now and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Very welcoming environment, relaxed and friendly. As one of the very few opportunities for regular classes after introductory Arabic, the Language Centre has been a vital connection with other skilled and passionate people. In both languages, the classes have been lively and responsive to the learners. I have been coaxed into lengthy conversations, persuaded to apply perplexing but vital grammar rules, and motivated to practice my new skills outside of class time.

I have been learning German at the East Melbourne Language Centre since the beginning of this year. I'm very happy with the teaching quality and the performance of their teachers. The staff there are really friendly. Highly recommended.

I've been working at the school for 20 years and through all those years had just lovely friendly colleagues. Every effort is put in to getting the best results for students and make this place a very enjoyable learning environment. I highly recommend this school. I have been learning German here for around 6 terms and I love it. I can’t believe how far our language ability including speaking has improved in 1 year. All the teachers are really good, patient and make learning a language and grammar fun, especially Ann Kathrin. We’ve been learning on zoom the past 6 months and it works super well. Want to learn a language? Don’t hesitate this is the place.

Finding a German school that offers not only quality but convenience is not that simple. This school is perfect for everyone. Even those who are time conscious like myself. So there's really never an excuse for not learning a new language because the East German Language Centre will make it work for you. Can't make it to a class? Switch it over the Skype. Internet not working? Try a phone conversation lesson til it starts working again. I've studied with various teachers both classroom and private and each and everyone offer a unique experience. Right now, I've been taking classes with Judith and she is absolutely wonderful. Not only she is honest, sweet and caring. She is also passionate about my learning and you can really feel it. I can admit that she is the reason my German has improved beyond my level. I could communicate naturally to my friends. But of course, it's a two way street, you've got to give to get. There's still a long way for me to and I continue to look forward to this memorable language journey here at this school.

Highly recommend this centre for learning Arabic! I started with the beginners course in 2018 and my teacher Ruba was brilliant. She was so patient and knew how to make sure learning was fun. The content of the course moved forward at a good pace and I definitely felt like I was getting value for money. I had such a good experience I have actually gone on to continue studying Arabic at university level.

I have been learning German via Skype for 6 months at East Melbourne language school. They have fantastic teachers and my German skills have improved dramatically. The lessons are well structured and they use an easy platform to which we can upload materials and homework to. They keep me feeling very motivated. I would highly recommend them.

I have been coming to this language school for a couple of years and thoroughly recommend their classes. The staff are professional and genuinely try to cater for the needs of students in a friendly atmosphere. There are various languages taught and I have tried both the term classes and the summer schools and I have learned heaps from them. One thing which I find distinguishes this school from other ones is the social activities and outings that are on offer. But the best and most important thing is the quality of the teaching: very experienced native speakers and a great variety of teaching methods and materials. Classes are very reasonably priced too - I could not be happier :)

I have been doing a mix of group and private German lessons at the German Language Centre since January 2019. The staff are friendly, professional and really knowledgeable.My teacher Ann-Kathrin is fantastic; she is patient, encouraging and makes grammar easy to understand. As someone who has never learnt German before, I never feel rushed in our group lessons.The move to Zoom-based lessons when Melbourne went into lockdown, has some advantages, such as notes being saved on Trello so I can concentrate more on what's being said in the class.I would definitely recommend the German Language Centre to anyone wanting to learn a languages.Vielen Dank Ann-Kathrin und Katharina

The East Melbourne and German Language Centre is a great place to learn a new language or to improve your language skills.The atmosphere is lovely and very personal. The stuff is very nice, polite and helpful, they show real interest in their students and take time to talk, help and explain.Whenever I had a question or a problem, during the lesson or not, I could always ask them and they were able to find a solution.I can highly recommend the East Melbourne and German Language Centre to learn a new language.
