This bookstore is my comfort place. I never want to leave. The staff are very kind and have all the books you could ever want, gifts, and toys. Their displays are so well made and their pride display was excellent. My favourite place.

Heaps of good books

Not a very pleasant customer experience. Poor return policy. Wouldn’t spend money on overpriced merchandise again.

I was just down in Canberra visiting and the shop here has such a lovely vibe. I’m really glad to see shops like these combining quality and care through their environment considerations, Australian start up and focus, and mix of second hand and new books. Keep on keeping on Harry Hartog!

Please consider this business before you purchase from a big company. Harry Hartog is a local bookstore that has first class service & treats you as an individual - not as an order number.During the lead up to Christmas 2018, I quickly realised that the bigger companies for online shopping do not have the capacity to cater to individual customer requirements if they differ from their standard delivery and postage times. Despite wanting to pay for express post, big companies have standard processing times before the items are even posted so, in this context, there is no way to have an item shipped express as soon as it's paid for. Harry Hartog at Maroochydore had items that I really wanted (Letters To Me When I Grow Up - by Lea Redmond") as my son and his close friends had just completed their final year of primary school & I thought this would be a brilliant gift for them all to write about their memories of life and primary school while it was still fresh in their minds. Even ebay sellers couldn't deliver until January 2019. Harry Hartog's online shopping site showed that they had the item in stock

This is the book shop you wish all bookshops were like. It feels like another world - a safe and comforting one filled with stories and a curated selection of gifts.

Beautiful book store. I could spend hours in there. I was able to purchase the ever so popular and amazing book Comparisonitis by Melissa Ambrosini. A must for all to read especially during times when social media plays such a huge role in this common cycle we all find ourselves in. Its talks about strategies to stop and also the positive elements of it also.
