I have been having private and group lessons at Social Dance Company for the last 6 months. I came to the studio with previous dance experience in different styles and with different teachers. The personal lessons are tailored to my level and ability to absorb new information and incorporate it into a social setting. The instructors are highly trained and dedicated to giving you what you need to progress and I’ve also felt really welcomed into an existing dance community. It is the highlight of my week to go and dance and socialize with such a great group of people.

Michelle & I started on our dance journey about seven years ago. Michelle had previous experience from her school days but I was a complete novice. Two left feet, no rhythm & no idea how to pick a beat. To say I was a little nervous at my first lesson was an understatement. Matthew took us on, or rather me, and slowly over time the steps began to stick in my head. Michelle was very patient and we progressed with Matthew, Dani & the Social Dance Studio Team. We even danced competitively and danced at some of the top hotels around the world, something I never thought I would do. It has been a journey to get where we are today and we are still learning and improving. Most importantly, we have made lots of new and lasting friendships and we are having fun.

Having a ball - wonderful new facilities and lovely staff. We wanted a social dancing experience where we could learn to dance and have an opportunity to dance socially. The Social Dance Company fitted the bill with their one on one lessons and access to social dance nights. We have a great time and its an investment in our relationship.

I can't say enough positive things about the Social Dance Company. Our couples dance lesson has been our 1 hour a week for the past 5 years. It's been the best thing for our marriage. It's such a warm and welcoming environment - we get to laugh, build friendships and dance!!

SDC is my happy place. The teachers are like family. We have made life long friends through the studio. It is more about relationships and friendships and the great bonus is learning how to dance.

I was the self-conscious guy, always minding my wife's handbag at the wedding table, while everyone else got up to dance. I wanted to learn just a few ‘moves’ so I didn’t feel so awkward. My wife bought me a gift certificate for Christmas. I was so anxious that it took me nine months to work up the courage to have my ‘free’ lesson. A few minutes into my first lesson with Dani and I felt so comfortable. I was so excited about going back the week after. That was nearly 10 years ago. Every week since, SDC has been my happy place. I love the friendly, positive and supportive nature of the staff and students. I love dancing with my wife every week, and I’m so disappointed when I can’t make it to a Social dance night. It’s much more than a dance studio. If you want to have fun, and share something special with your partner every week, SDC is for you.

We've been dancing here for 11 years and have loved every minute. The instructors are fantastic and we've made lot's of new friends with our dance family. Best of all, we never spend time sitting on the sidelines at social functions; if there's dancing, we are up on the dance floor having fun!!

Matt was amazing. We walked into the studio had no idea how two clumsy ones like us could possibly manage to dance in front of all of our guests at the wedding. After a few lessons with Matt, we not only rocked the first dance, but also feel comfortable dance at any occasions. The whole experience was really fun and chill, as we were learning TO dance, not learning A dance. Will definitely recommend Matt and his team!
