A local community theatre that supports and puts on a variety of performances throughout the year. The theatre has stadium style seating, though there is no orchestra pit. The Roo Theatre company is intimate and small and each seat has a good view of the stage.

My dull Friday night was brightened and heightened with the great performance of WE WILL ROCK YOU well they sure did ..I laughed and cried with strangers and went totally radio gaga with the songs . Excellent voices and cast ..definitely changed the way I look at Friday nights .

Spent 5 years at the Roo doing many shows when I was in my late teens and early 20's. It's such a shame that the council are knocking down this iconic building.I have very fond memories of my time onstage and backstage. So many young people were given a chance and us misfit" kids who were bullied in school found a place where we were accepted.The passing of Roo theatre's founder Gordon Streek was a very sad loss indeed. Our 1st time to the theatre and the Wonka show was fantastic!!! We all loved every minute. The cast and backstage are all voluntary and really do an amazing job.
